"Certainly not. It's probably just the stress talking." He reaches for his mug and softly clinks it against hers before taking a sip. "Ahhh," he sighs, leaning back in his chair and reaching out with his free hand to hold hers. "With all this work, I admit that I find it difficult to look back on our vacation, even though it has barely been a month. Life really does get in the way." He gives her hand a gentle squeeze. "No, I don't actually regret the holidays. If anything, I wish for more quiet times in between so I can relive those memories. I don't want them to fade away just because I need to focus on matters of consequence."

"Hmm… I suppose I can take a five-minute break right now." He reached over to his desk, grabbed the mug of hot cocoa, and took a sip before placing it back down. "Mm, it tastes perfect." He then reached for her hand, pressing a kiss to her palm. "Thank you, my love. You always know how to bring me warmth and comfort whenever I need it." Placing his hands on her hips, he guided her to sit on his lap. "And now, your wish has been granted. You have my full attention."

Pausing to nuzzle against her palm, he playfully rubbed his wet chin against her hand before straightening up. "I believe I've successfully warmed you up," he declared, leaning over her and propping himself up on either side. He eased himself down gently, planting soft kisses along the side of her neck and chin. Catching a whiff of osmanthus on her skin, he continued his trail of kisses, now more hungry than before. "If I were to be so bold as to ask," he murmured against her ear, gently reaching for her wrist, "might my Beast Vessel be so kind as to warm me up in return?" Lips finding hers, he guided her hands down as he deepened the kiss.

"Ghibli sounds good," Zayne replied, taking another bite of toast. "But if you've already seen Howl's Moving Castle, perhaps we should pick something else." He scrolled though his phone, finishing the last bites his toast, when something piqued his interest. "How about this one?" he asked Angel, turning his phone toward them. "Not Ghibli, but the reviews say it has a similar feel—with a mix of Makoto Shinkai. It's called Belle… ah, Mamoru Hosoda made it." Reaching out, he wiped a few crumbs from their face before propping his chin on his hand. "What do you think?"

Circumstances made me what I am, but they do not define who I am.
