@realMattKParker This was my intro to him 30+ years ago, a book I found very funny. I've read 6 or 8 books by him, all worthwhile.

@TheUntranslated Just the first volume so far. I found Debroy's translation clear and engaging and the footnotes helpful.

@CindyXiaodanYu Thank you for these posts. I travel to Shanghai every year for about 3 months. Your comments accord with what I’ve seen there, esp. EVs, which are easily identifiable by their green license plates.
