Here’s something to consider now that Cal is gone: Remember when he was hired and fans of other schools told UK fans to enjoy their banners having asterisks? Cal leaves here with no scandals, having run a clean program. What happened to UofL, Kansas, UNC, & others in that time?
Gives me an excuse to post this video I saw for the first time during basketball season: Happy Chandler singing My Old Kentucky Home during UK Senior Night in 1988. Best rendition I’ve seen!
Inexcusable that college basketball does not have an opening night with explosive, must-watch matchups. Instead the sport putters along for a week until it gets to the Champions Classic. Make that an opening night event again! Bring back the 24-hour tip-off!
One quick moment to somewhat defend Virginia by saying that Colorado State had NO BUSINESS being in Dayton. Whether you agree with the decision to include them, Virginia was a bubble team that got matched up against a CSU team that probably should’ve been, like, an 8 seed
The new trailer for ‘TWISTERS’, starring Daisy Edgar-Jones, Glen Powell, Anthony Ramos & Brandon Perea.
The movie was shot entirely on film.
In theatres on July 19.
Thinking about that Stephen F. Austin team that beat Duke, was 28-3, ended the season on a 15-game win streak, and didn't get to play in the NCAA Tournament because of COVID. Ugh
Last season: Fairleigh Dickinson had to watch game film in a community shower.
This season: Donations have poured in after the win over Purdue and they now have a new locker room and film room.
Man I can't get over the Nevada inclusion. Team didn't even have a watch party or anything. NO ONE was thinking they'd get in. Looks like the Committee put them in at the expense of a bunch of Big Ten bottom feeders. That's beautiful
Louisville Job: If you’re all in on Dusty May as the guy if Drew says no, I’m curious to know what got you there.
He may crush it here, but outside of his Final Four, what about him says he’s the guy?
He’s an easy get and will crawl here because this cycle is likely where he
People whine about them for not "knowing college basketball", but part of the reason I love Chuck and the Turner guys is that they do have a very pure, deep love of the game.
Jerry: the Girl Scouts are starting to give you fewer cookies in every box
George: I want my girlfriend to die
Elaine: my coworker blows their nose at the table in a restaurant

I did not rank Kentucky in the preseason because, recruits and talent and the brand aside, I don't trust their scheme, consistency and ability to execute in late-game situations at all. That's why.
Jim Boeheim is no longer Syracuse's basketball coach.
Adrian Autry is.
The Boeheim Era, after 47 years, is over at Syracuse.
Adrian, who is a terrific guy and a coach Syracuse players respect, gets his shot.
Y’all…I went on ONE date with this dude in my building, we’ve exchanged a few texts with four days max in between…I come home from the gym and THIS is on my door…call 911
I don't know if anyone else feels this way, but to me CBS' presentation of the NCAA Tournament *feels* like the last vestige of presenting college sports as something truly collegiate (rah-rah and all that) rather than as a de facto minor league to the pros.
This USF team missing the tournament would be a prime example of my issue with so much weight being placed on what happens early in the year. With a 1st year coach it took em a sec to get their footing but they have won 18 of their last 19 games! One road L by 4! Let them dance!
McNeese State is 89th (!) in KenPom right now. As far as I can tell, that's their highest ranking there ever. And it's so rare to see a Southland team get into the top 100. Think about '21 ACU and those mid-2010s SFA teams. That's about it.
"Fer ev'ry bad feckin call ye make, I'll take those shears, and I'll take one of me fingers off with them. And I'll give that finger to ya until I have no fingers left."
Either San Diego State or FAU is going to be playing for the national championship. The kind of moment we always dreamed about when running Mid-Major Madness
The most frustrating thing about primarily being a college hoops fan is having to digest the increasingly nutty football decisions and then try to parse what it could mean for basketball. Of course, the answer is never good
