i earned a 15k bug bounty from @Aptos, by demonstrating how to bypass aptos coin (fungible-asset) freeze functionality. i also proposed the patch which fixed the issue in aptos-framework upgrade v1.24.1. here's how i found and fixed the issue:

.@martian_wallet signed and submitted a transaction from my wallet, without my approval, sending their wallet "fees" (scam). their "fee" was 2%. a wallet signing a transactions on user's behalf is an insane security risk. stay safe out there. use @PetraWallet + ledger

aptos simply has the best tech. every new L1 or L2 should be an aptos fork. unfortunate scoll didn't have the foresight or timing of @rushimanche and the movement team and made the mistake of forking legacy evm tech.
hey toghrul - ive tried to keep relatively calm throughout your entire back and forth with Franck and Andreas because i’ll let researchers hash it out (think thats net good). “high horse”?. are you kidding me?. i have nothing but respect for some members of your team but Scroll.

why doesn't @SuiNetwork have on chain governance? the answer may surprise you. the answer is @SuiNetwork doesn't have on-chain governance because sui doesn't support move scripts

.@Aptos take notes for airdrop v2.
movement was in their infancy during the "airdrop meta" - but they were paying close attention and learning from the mistakes of others. second MOVEr advantage is real. community and builders saw huge allos. it also helps that team genuinely went into their TGE with community.

aptos is cooking up solutions for streaming payments. with the lowest L1 gas fees and payment streaming, no doubt aptos will become the chain for payments.
Subscription plans will be reinvented with stablecoins and smart contracts (= programmable money). No reason why you couldn’t bill and pay as you go (real time streaming) vs. monthly/annual billing. You’d think the customer wins the most here because they aren’t locked in, but.

@matteodotsui @rushimanche aptos is built around dynamically dispatch and uses account based storage based. sui is built around static dispatch and uses object based storage. dynamic dispatch with gives aptos increased levels of parallelism for many defi workloads vs sui static parallelism. aptos-move.

a sign the @emojicoindotfun market has matured is that the top emojis are projects with communities. since projects need to control supply, they can't "adopt" emojis whales bought up early off the bonding-curve. instead many of the best performing emoji are unexpected: 🎱🎱 (a

.@Aptos law is the observation that aptos blockspace increases 10x every year.
@moon_shiesty just coined the analogy for Moore's law in @Aptos. Moore's law is transistors 2x'ing every two years. Aptos's law is blockspace 10x'ing every year. LFM!.

aptos technology speaks for itself.
Couldn't agree more. Mo contributed significantly to Aptos and has since moved on, which is perfectly fine. It had nothing to do with vesting cliffs or any of the FUD I've seen circulating. Leaders may come and go, but communities are perpetual. Act accordingly. Frankly, I care.

if we can't be friends, at least we can push the other chain to be better. @AptosLabs and @Mysten_Labs have the best researchers in blockchain. aptos and sui have been copying each other's best ideas since the diem fork. move has become the best blockchain programming because of.

@chameleon_jeff @mirage_protocol chose to build on aptos L1 because aptos has the high-performance and time-to-finality to allow us to build a dex that competes with the cex experience. we believe app-chains hurt user experience, limit composibility and fragment liquidity. 1) mirage supports.

aptos FungibleAsset is the best token standard. best indexing infra too.
Why failed on day 1 launch?. They wrap TreasuryCap/Metadata into "connector", means indexers fails to find TreasuryCap/Metadata once it gets wrapped, and it gets unwrapped a bit later(on receiving). Indexers think this is still wrapped and cannot find

aptos key rotation lets users and validators rotate their private key after a security breach while maintaining the same public address. this is important for users who want to maintain their on-chain identity at the same address, and doesn't require unstaking and transferring.
@moon_shiesty @martian_wallet @PetraWallet I do use use petra now but i need that address as i am actively farming multiple protocols from long time, i will make sure to not keep too much funds in that address thanks for the heads up 🫡.

real world performance always comes down to systems design.
Many paid KOLs and Maxis are recently hyping Mysticeti, so we decided to add some color. 0.05% message drops destroys Mysticeti's latency - from 1s to 10s!. We ran the latest Mysticeti code with 5/100 nodes dropping 1% of messages (starting at the red line). This is because

@briannwongg whats neat about aptos objects is that the smart contract can manage access control while another EOA or smart contract owns the object . on @mirage_protocol users own their vaults and trade objects. at the same time the protocol manages the resources inside the object and can.

"they [aptos] should focus on community and product to make the on-chain experience 10x better than Sui's so that it stands a chance".
@maxmoneycash Sure, but I’ll keep it short. Solana is doing amazing across the board and has the most upside imo. The community, devs, products, and user base are more established. Sui has significant upside if they can continue differentiating themselves through cost, latency, and Move. Is.

As we are in the final stages of QA testing and ramping up to the launch of our DCA protocol, I wanted to share some insight behind our design. We have spent a lot of time designing our implementation in order to prioritize performance, security, and transparency. I've previously.

its trivial for an adversary to bypass attempts to freeze their coins on sui. figured @circle would launch $USDC on @SuiNetwork as a closed-loop token but it's a regulated coin. genuinely curious how this passed due-diligence .

without a mempool, you can't build functional fee markets. SIP-45 is an interesting workaround; instead of using market forces to compute priority fee, this SIP simply always includes the transaction, if the fee is above some constant function of gas price (and above some.

@0xairtx @mrdotboson @Aptos @movementlabsxyz @rushimanche this is the misguided take. aptos-objects are more powerful than sui objects. sui-move limits developers to simple parent-child relationships between objects (sui dynamic-objects). aptos-move allows developers to express any type of complex relationship between objects. this.

here are the steps i used to decompile an aptos-move code deployment/update. linux wizards let me know if you can simplify the steps into a line of bash. with cli support and an additional code table in the aptos indexer api this process could be automated. i want to be able to.
@mononok31 it took me a few steps, the hard for me was finding the transaction that published the target version. i did this by searching for 0x1::code::PublishPackage and filtering by accounts in the thala multisig on the aptos hasura endpoint.

Mango Markets will be shutting down.It is time for users to close their positions. Mango v4 & Boost are winding down. Most borrowing on Mango will be economically unviable going forward. Proposals are live & become executable on January 13, Monday 8PM UTC. Details below⬇️.

vAMM based perps offer several advantages over orderbook. 1) CLOBs fragment liquidity between each market. vAMMs share liquidity between books. this is especially important when trading mcap or higher volatility tokens. 2) vAMM can aggregate prices of every large crypto market to.
this is not the first time the books have thinned out on hyperliquid during volatility, resulting in more aggressive liquidations. oracle based perps protocols, often seen as a bandaid to order books, do not have this issue. as long as there are deep books to price based on (e.g.

cool to see perps heating up on sui. @mangomarkets launched the first on-chain orderbook perps years ago on solana, before GMX popularized the vAMM model. we chose to build vAMM based perps, but L1 orderbooks are cool too.
