lost the blight streak at 1947 to a “comp team” snipe on blood lodge. was a good run, made some mistakes but not much i could have done against 4 DS 3 OTR and 3 medkits. oni streak still going strong at 627 and im excited to see where i can branch with my content :)

dbd is not a party game: it isn’t as competitive as valorant/apex for example, but due to the fact it’s PVP and it has a high skill cap it does have an inherent competitive aspect to it. the unfortunate thing is that there is no incentive to get better and it is (1/3)

the only time i dodge a lobby during a streak is if i see someone that looks blatantly like a cheater (ie. p100 trevor on anon). i believe if u dodge based off a map offering or just strong players in your lobby then you should lose your streak; pubs are already brainlessly easy
I will never understand winstreaking in pubs and then dodging any half decent looking players and bad maps, especially on a killer like nurse. Other streamers do the same ik it's not just alf, the streak is just meaningless if u dodge any games u have a slight chance of losing.🤷♂️

only killers that i would say this is problematic on are S-tiers, other than that this is by far the healthiest the meta has been in a while. would you rather a combo that requires downs and hooks, or a combo where you can just kick a gen and get infinite value (cob + eruption)?

tunneling is a risk, the reason it seems like it isn’t is because 99% of the playerbase has no clue what they’re doing
imo I think tunneling should be big risk and big reward
Currently tho there is not much risk.
The most effective anti tunneling is off the record which can be eaten before the survivor can even control their character off hook
This just brings balance to the risk/reward

to be honest, i think this proves the lack of skill in the playerbase more than anything else. if a D tier killer has a 63% killrate when maps like badham exist then maybe we need to accept the average player doesn’t have a good grasp on the core mechanics of the game.

A great example of how common stream snipers are. Even players from TEAM ETERNAL are sniping The Final Boss. Guaranteed snipe because I do not have VoDs or clips active, so you'd have to be pre-emptively screen-recording the stream before the match.

Ds is getting buffed because bad survivors need more time to think on where to run. Ds was totally fine as it was & one of the best perks in the game. Used by good survivors it could change wins into draws & draws into loses. Not many perks have that power. Meta since its release

toba’s landing isn’t even that bad of a dbd map, just the lighting and vibrant colors make it unbearable and vomit-inducing. i remember someone saying it’s like walking into a laser-tag arena on LSD and i couldn’t agree more. please BHVR consider dampening the colors a bit 🙏

im just gonna say this because people don’t seem to understand; blight is weaker but not that much weaker without hugtech. it just means if you want to play well you will just 2-rush/zone everything, meaning gameplay will be more boring but not necessarily weaker. L change imo

i don’t know why 3k ever became the universal win condition. i think that if all 5 gens pop and you get outted, that should count as a loss (meaning rng hatch/door escapes with gens up don’t count). 3k win-con makes streaks even easier than they already are

laughably easy to reach the highest rank (i reached rank 1 at 40 hours on trapper only), leading the game to become stale. there is so much mechanical skill and gamesense to be learned on DBD, but the bad matchmaking and lack of incentive means the majority of players will (2/3)

i think people don’t realize there are very few players who do winstreaks in dbd (if any) who think it is some incredibly hard thing to do every single game. the only reason people do it is to create some artificial stakes because the base game doesn’t have one!
