I’m not pointing fingers, but the children I see who struggle with tantrums past an appropriate age are usually iPad kids. Permissive parenting is a huge problem, and those parents feel it easier to hand their kid a device instead of helping them with their feelings.

I didn’t really have a gender preference when I was pregnant, but I did always just assume I would have a girl? Probably because I grew up with all sisters, and had mostly female cousins.

Im a big advocate for bedsharing and feeding to sleep/dreamfeeding in these early months. Better to prepare for it than to not, and end up doing it accidentally!

I support public breastfeeding with/without a cover. I personally choose to go to my car or a private place to nurse, but that’s because I’m easily embarrassed and worried about someone making a fuss.
Most nursing clothes nowadays make breastfeeding pretty modest/discreet too.

We didn’t let our son watch any TV before he turned two. Now he watches a movie or an episode of Sesame Street a day. Honestly, I think with my next I’m going to wait until 4ish. I haven’t seen any negative effects, but seeing other kids who are addicted to screens freaks me out.

My husband tried going to trade school and working full time when our son was two months old. He left for school at 5:30am, got home at 11:00pm. After three days he just broke down and cried, holding our son for five minutes before he had to sleep. It was awful.

I mean, monetarily, it can be basically free. I never hired a lactation consultant, t-shirts are perfectly fine for breastfeeding, and 90% of breastfeeding moms don’t ever get mastitis.
The only thing I ever spent money on was a nursing bra, manual pump, and nipple butter.

Putting a newborn alone in their own room poses a higher risk of death than bedsharing.

Exactly, not to mention it’s normal for pregnancies to go a week or two past the due date estimation, especially if it’s the moms first pregnancy. Some babies just need more time to grow, birthing them early is usually counterintuitive.
