The last 2 networks that Utah has been a part of were the Pac 12 Network and the Mtn. network.
Both of those endeavors were spectacular failures.
The last thing the Big 12 needs to worry about is losing a team in a redundant market. They’d just take the $$ and replace with UConn.

Strength of Schedule is heavily in the Big 12’s favor. The Big 12 just won 2 NY6’s & a second straight National Championship in basketball.
The Big 12 is also going national, whereas the leftover Pac 12 is getting further marginalized as a regional conference without Los Angeles

Actually it's a very compact, attractive, footprint. Losing USC and UCLA (the LA market) was a significantly bigger hit for the Pac 12 than Texas-OU was for the Big 12 (who were overlapped by the 5 Texas/Oklahoma programs).

That’s top tier.
The Big 10 hasn’t won a hoops Natty since 2000.

The Strength of Schedule in the Pac 12 is not P5 level.

EVERY team the Big 12 added could have won the Pac 12 last year.
Cincinnati was in the CFP. Houston/UCF beat Auburn/Florida in bowls.
BYU/UC/Houston Top 25 all year.

Losing LA has crippled the leftovers in the Pac 12. Playing in Boise instead of LA severely damages their brands. (40-50% drop)
But, even more so than that is the Pac 12 Strength of Schedule is wrecked. It’s an MWC-level conference now. The Big 12 is always Top 3 in 🏈Top 1 in 🏀

Why should Arizona resign itself to a Big Sky hoops league when it can play Baylor/Kansas (in a Top 3 Football Conference as well),

However, I think you should get the support of every FBS conference.
It is shaping up as a human rights movement, but the “P5” paradigm marginalizes half of the athletes that put their blood and bodies into this sport. It needs all of FBS.
