I appreciate the nod to the fact that King Arthur was a Christian.
And Stonehenge was associated with Arthur (a Christian king) by the 12th century, so it's not impossible that medieval people were inclined to see all megalithic structures as potentially Arthurian, and therefore not intrinsically 'pagan'. They had no idea how old they were!

I grew up in Rocky Mountain House and live in Thunder Bay, where I worked at Fort William Historical Park, in whose Great Hall hangs a replica of Thompson's map. David Thompson is well worth knowing!
On this day in 1857, my favourite historical figure, David Thompson, died in Montreal. One of the greatest land geographers in history, he mapped 4.9 million sq-km of North America. Let's explore his life :) 🧵1/16
