I remembered when I said this, muted the tweet, then looked back a month later at the sheer amount of racism, ableism, and misogyny that was in the replies and quotes lol
Graham Hamilton as Luke’s body double for TBOBF is underrated to me. If they ever consider recasting someone besides Mark then it should be him! The likeliness between them is close imo

Okay, but there’s plenty of real, racist remarks amongst other unnecessary things that this tweet was the primary focus of. I could care less if people really don’t like the style of how April is made.
I deleted it because I didn’t want those yt surpremacist accounts having access to my tweet- but the way that they bent over backwards for problematic artists in the past from constructive criticism but harass that one MM artist is very telling, and hypocritical.
@imonly5feet
It gets SUPER weird when I see accounts that dedicate all their time to arguing with this,,, like clearly you have a problem bro that shit isn’t normal 😭😭
@Trionyx27
That’s all fine with meif that was the case for everyone, but, it’s the ones who are being blatantly racist and fatphobic, etc. to the people who are black AND plus size like they don’t exist/objectively ugly, etc.
@ultralovedeluxe
And the fact that she’s been subjected to so many inappropriate/gross comments by male adults on her body since she was a kid makes this extremely disturbing 😰
The actor to also voice actor pipeline is something I’ve been immensely impressed with on a few other occasions- one of them being
@MarkHamill
with his joker work 💙, but this definitely became one of those moments for me- Oscar knocked it out of the park with this one! 😭🙏🏾🔥
@mrmildlyfunny
The 90s/2000s had plenty of cartoons with wonky/grunge art styles so I’m not understanding how people are acting surprised when creatives use that to their advantage. The point of how the world from the movie looks is intentional. I just think people are overreacting.
@IanNava77430115
SpiderVerse/MCU/DC have so many reinterpretations on what superheroes and stories they have for the same characters- but it’s never replacing the original one. It’s the same with TMNT. The outrage and harassment of artists doing their job for the movie is overboard at this point.
@MelonieMac
@Shiftygism
So you’re criticizing a character that’s a teenager for being “fat and masculine looking”? And what about the actual real teenagers who look like the character? Are you calling them this too?
@firelilyluke
I do too. They had the right idea with recasting Han and Lando for the SOLO movie, but took away the wrong messages when the movie underperformed. Basically sticking to what’s “easy” with cgi 🤧😞
@KimuArts
You’re good. 👍🏾 Unfortunately people out there will make a big deal out of it. Various versions of April can all exist and be valid, that’s really what my point is. 💀 Same with Spider-Man. There’s so many versions but all can co-exist.
@1381erfan1381
Dawg I wasn’t advertising anything lmao I was making a point that the scrutiny of her character people use goes beyond constructive criticism and use it to be extremely bigoted and harass people
@ZinxTheBat
@Trionyx27
I’m not telling you to not like something. It’s just VERY weird and telling when those reasons are inherently bigoted. I could really understand people not liking this version if it’s just not something that they’re interested with.
