@MarCopter @biodotpe @OpenFlexure @IORodeo Several of the vendors do - IORodeo for sure. I'm very curious which option turns out to be the most popular!

@onayemi_seye @OpenFlexure We've a couple of contacts in Nigeria, though nobody actively using it for healthcare yet. I'm very happy to make connections and grow the community where we can. The forum is the best place to make those links, I'm only on twitter sporadically these days.

I had a lot of fun being involved at the start of @WaterScope_org back in 2016 - and it's great to see the company has now published its first paper:

@aquicarattino @biodotpe Embedded hardware like RP2040 and ESP32 are so cheap and powerful now, it’s becoming feasible to keep interfaces quite high level even in very small systems.

@aquicarattino @biodotpe Thanks @biodotpe, I think these days the overhead of HTTP is pretty negligible, especially if you’re already in a scripting language like Python. I think the tools have improved, it’s already easier to implement WoT for instruments than it was a few years ago.

Even better, these results are now quite old - the latest version of the microscope gets higher quality images and fixes a few of the issues we had in the paper.

I just read this paper by two authors I've never met, from the Philippenes, evaluating the @OpenFlexure Microscope for diagnostics! Enabling work like this is exactly why we started the project.
