Not trying to dunk on OP, but this critique has been floating around re UMN student organizers and I have to say I’ve never felt more confident about their commitment to their demands. This isn’t surrender. These students are under no illusions about the university’s tactics.
So what Im reading in this list is that the University just said “ok sure, we’ll look into these concerns in exchange for taking down the camp” but didn’t actually move to meet any demands and the camp will be taken down anyway?
Do I have that right?

I am not afraid to say it: There are not enough transit officers by any means. Riders are on our own, and we are up against dangerous people on a regular basis.

Honestly this is transit-heads biggest problem. As it stands, most people drive because it’s more convenient and comfortable here. Public transit in mpls is better than most cities, but still manages to be unpleasant re basic aspects: timeliness, comfort, and route design.
