Broke, anti-Zionist ansynd. Join @demsocialists🌹 and @dsa_lsc🏴. Natl secretary @EsnupiCenter. 2025 DSA guide ↓
Joined June 2021
It took a lot longer to write than I thought it would, but finally my "A Guide to DSA Politics" is live! Give it a read.
With an influx of new DSA members post election, LSC presents a revised version of Bryce S's "An Introduction to the Internal Politics of DSA". We hope this can be a useful tool for all members to reference as we enter the DSA National Convention season.

She openly supported Iron Dome funding in April (still on her website), she equated anti-Zionism to anti-Semitism in voting for HR888, and again by just platforming two Zionists and condemning protests against an exhibit justifying the slaughter of Palestinians. Just to be clear.
I am one of the only members of Congress to cosponsor the ceasefire reso since Day 1. I consistently vote NO on military budgets, including further weapons to Israeli gov. I think Netanyahu is a war criminal. AIPAC targets me. AND I find antisemitism disgusting. Deal with it.

@AOC You openly spoke in favor of Iron Dome funding just last month. It's still on your website!

All of DSA should feel embarrassed that SJP Columbia, critical in starting this entire encampment movement, says this about a DSA rep. It hurts our pro-Palestine organizing everywhere to keep endorsing her. Idk how else to communicate how important this is to our organizing.

@_ericblanc The big tent should not include Zionists. You can't talk about mass politics while ignoring the harms that Zionism does to our organizing for Palestine.

@RuNoseP apparently they aim to get one at-large seat on the city council usually because there is a rule that states no more than 3 at-large seats can be from the same party. Independents have won instead of Republicans every time since 2009 though.

@Phlegmbuoy I think a lot of people forget that some actually want to wear hijabs. Idk what this is referring to so maybe the woman really didn't want to wear it but it could also be a basic courtesy to help her feel comfortable.

This thread I think describes my thoughts on it pretty well, spoilers ofc
Attack on Titan has always been plagued by a fascist ideology embedded in its story and characters, and most people with basic media literacy could see that. But the finale really cemented the hyper-individualist and far-right message of the entire series.🧵.

@Athenion3 A supermajority of rural revolutions in the 20th century simply would not have happened w/o Mao and the Chinese Revolution. I'm a huge critic but everyone should recognize the role he played in humanizing and empowering peasant and non-urban populations around the world to revolt.

@AOC You voted for HR 888 equating anti-Zionism to anti-Semitism and you did the same thing at this "discussion" platforming two representatives of Zionist organizations.

@pop_mycology @ToddTheOdd this is just recognizing pinkwashing as cover for human rights and social justice disasters.

@leontinelippman So are you happy with that event? It was literally just Zionist lobbyists talking and AOC agreeing with them on BDS and Israel's "right to defend itself".

@hankgreen Incredibly ecologically intensive and a risk to indigenous rights still via lithium and other rare earth metals; and doesn't resolve problems of individual transit like traffic, high fatalities, messing up neighborhoods, inefficient public spending on roads, depression, etc. We.

@KrakoaDSA People need to learn self-defense. One of the few good things about the US is you can buy guns legally and get proper training for it. It was a critical part of the BPP's strategy for community protection and preventing police violence.

@BlackRedGuard1 Anyone in DSA should feel ashamed that most of the biggest pro-Palestine groups still boycott us and we pretty much only have access to Jewish groups while Muslim, Arab, etc left. It's already tough doing Palestine organizing and we're repeating history like we learned nothing.

I don't even fw Bowman like that but god this race is one of the most rotten examples of how farcicle liberal "democracy" is. If you materially back or work for Latimer, you should know that you are an enemy of democracy.
WATCH-- @chrislhayes on the historic spending in the Democratic primary for New York’s 16th congressional district:. “This is what Citizens United has wrought: enormous swarms of big money from anodyne-sounding groups, pounding a candidate while concealing what their own

@willyGfoster Who is asking for DSA to tail PYM and SJP? To me, it's always clearly been about having our own organizing model and socialist angle, but still taking seriously their advice when it demonstrates real contradictions in our org's anti-Zionist commitments. Not the same as tailism.

Genuinely I don't see how AOC is any help to DSA in the current moment. We can cite how she's the 4th or 5th best voter in Congress or whatever ad nauseam but it never answers why a DSA rep keeps doing this and how it is going to help our mass movement organizing.
Thread on AOC's disastrous livestream yesterday on antisemitism. The livestream begins with AOC introducing Stacy Burdett and Amy Spitalnick (both Zionists) as "foremost experts on antisemitism", setting the stage for them to define antisemitism for everyone. Also notice how

@explauratory idk expelling a white supremacist probably keeps people safe. Secure communications and privacy also keep us safe from bad actors and the cops.

@Neverlast0 @muke10101 You have to build independent working-class institutions for counterpower (e.g., by militant labor and tenant organizing, democratic mass movement structures, workers councils, coops, etc). Spending energy on Kamala is a huge waste when things will get worse no matter who wins.

@SxarletRed Some places have basically ended homelessness at this point like Singapore, Finland, and Vienna. So right off the bat their vision of the future is worse than what already exists in some places.

@OrganizerMemes He was going to lose either way and he waffled on Palestine. Our movement is more than just an electoral one, and NYC DSA misspent resources supporting him instead of repairing relations with the Palestinian liberation movement, or even just spending it on state races.

@Solidarity_Star DSA's the only one with a strong democratic structure and deliberative culture, low in sectarianism. More ppl working together toward socialist goals is good & DSA has real wins and long term structures in militant labor/tenant organizing, Palestine solidarity, trans rights, etc.

@Itmechr3 I'm an anarchist and I'm the first to admit most socialists were queerphobes, including anarchists. MLs were able to institutionalize it but that doesn't make historical anarchists free of sin.

@KrakoaDSA The encampment movement. Please try to actually read what I am saying in good faith. I'm actually begging you. What do you have to say about her openly endorsing "strengthening the Iron Dome" less than two months ago? She never apologized or took it down either.

@SlothWet We have yet to see any evidence of this elusive "union busting" in DSA. Layoffs are not what that means. On the other hand, AOC voted to take away railworkers' right to strike. And yes spend a couple days around the average pro-Palestine activist and it's not great what they.

@Nowooski If your only goal is to get into office, maybe! If your goal is actual political principles, this doesn't mean much. This also ignores that many people are just doing negative politics against the Tories.

@KrakoaDSA You're getting into irrelevant details that do not address my point. Columbia SJP started a massive upsurge in militancy across the country. AOC continues to openly support the Iron Dome to this very day and I provided proof of this. You have 0 response to the material issue here.

I've yet to hear any GW/SMC member explain why a DSA endorsee openly announced support for the Iron Dome <2mos ago (w/o apology). The only explanations I can imagine are (a) North Star's strat saying it's good or (b) it's unjustifiable & we should stop excusing her. Which is it?.
All of DSA should feel embarrassed that SJP Columbia, critical in starting this entire encampment movement, says this about a DSA rep. It hurts our pro-Palestine organizing everywhere to keep endorsing her. Idk how else to communicate how important this is to our organizing.
