@SymplyTaiwo I use a standing versus laying down image. Standing (vertical) = columns, laying flat (horizontal) = rows. Another hack: "column" appears as a term in buildings, for pillars. "row" is a term used for pushing a canoe across water. Column = upright, rows = across. Do these help?.

I really think we should work on fixing short attention span this year:. - Watch long-form content. - Sit with 1-hour tutorials on YouTube. - Plug into a podcast if it's your thing. - Read in 20-minute blocks. - Delete TikTok! (sorry 🥲). Deep dive aids deep work.
Sat down today to watch Viola Davis's conversation with Samuel Jackson. 25 minutes, enjoyed every minute. Might do Anthony Mackie & Tyler Williams next. This year might be one of solely long-form content for me. Need the immersive experience, the deep dive.

2016. I had a notebook of new words I was learning. Contained words like reticent, pertinacious, and loquacious, words I introduced into my writings and conversations so I could retain their meanings. This was years before ChatGPT was conceived, FFS.
