For reference when NASA encountered issues with Crew Dragon's parachutes, SpaceX conducted *27* tests of their Mark III parachutes to certify them for flight.
Huge respect to the team!
What I heard from the Starliner media briefing: 1 chute out could be caused by a number of different single faults. Without the softlinks re-designed, 1 chute out could result in a catastrophic failure of other two. Q: How many drop tests will be required after re-design?

In mere 6 months, SpaceX reconstructed their launch pad at Starbase and readied Ship 25 and Booster 9 for IFT-2.
An FAA license is expected at end of October with a launch slated for early to mid-November, according to sources.
