I'm wondering why didn't you and other scientists treat samples with RNase before quantifying dsDNA with Qubit.
The amount of RNA is much larger than DNA, and RNA may affect Qubit results.

If your assumption is right, it resembles the DNA contamination of HPV vaccine (Gardasil).
DNA fragments binding to aluminum nanoparticles cannot be digested in the manufacturing process.

RiboGreen is for RNA quantification.
RNA amount is much higher than DNA amount, so DNase treatment is not required.
However, DNA quantification needs RNase treatment to remove the influence of RNA.

When DNA:RNA ratio is 1:1, Qubit can quantify dsDNA accurately.
When DNA:RNA ratio is 1:16, Qubit results can be doubled, ⬇️though this is a Qubit2 result.
As for 1:3000 of DNA:RNA ratio, the reagent makers haven't tested.
