Today I'm launching Omnipilot! 🚀🚀🚀
It's an AI copilot that autocompletes text EVERYWHERE on MacOS. In every app!!!
Another "copilot"????
This one is different, I swear!
Omnipilot gathers context ambiently, and uses it to generate text in Notes, Gmail or Xcode
Link: 🧵
everyone is dunking on humane ai pin but have you tried to fit a class 2 laser projector, a camera, a microphone, led lights and a magnetic booster into one tiny package the size of an apple watch
🚀 It’s launch day! The biggest day of the year!
Magicflow is up on Product Hunt, a whole year of work, love, sweat and tears! Check it out, I’d love to hear what you think!

@jasonlk
I’ve been “smart but lazy” all my life, but it turns out that I’m willing to work hard as hell when it contributes meaningfully to achieving a mission.
“Lazy” just mean unwilling to work hard on unnecessary bullshit, it turns out.
🚨 LAUNCH ALERT 🚨
Magicflow (.com) 👀: Track your productivity, context switching and deep work
We want to make the world more productive, I'd love some love!
See thread for the link to support us and the demo video! 🧵

FYi Bryan, this table gets the Heavy Metals wrong for Vosges, you said in the video it was 2mg, but the table says 4.51. It was confusing how 159/4.51 could equal 78 until I realised that!
May be too late to fix.
@DennisV999
@PleaseBeGneiss
ummm howwwww did my meme make it here?!!! or did this somehow get done totally independently, that’s so crazy!!
it’s a John von Neumann meme though. crazy! new it had potential
Under-appreciated but amazing thing about
@Replit
The code of a repl is not just open-source - it's *verifiable* that the code you see is the code being run (vs other non-self-hosted open-source software).
It's fully trustable cloud-computing (as long as you trust

Launching on
@ProductHunt
2 weeks ago was trajectory-changing.
Grateful to the PH team & everyone on Twitter who supported our launch (including
@joshbuckley
!!)
We’re now ramen profitable! 🍜🍜🍜
And
@magicflowHQ
is getting some epic user love 🥰
…anyway, back to work!
WOAHHHH WE'RE NUMBER 3!!!
IT'S FRAGILE THOUGH SO PLEASE KEEP THE LOVE GOING!
Honestly the Product Hunt algo is really not sure, so we have to keep it going, got to stay above the fold!!! Thank you so so so much for all the people who have helped us get here!
Don't build wrappers, build harnesses!
How to tell the difference: harnesses let people achieve things you couldn't do in ChatGPT.
Wrappers:
- primarily provide the model's outputs
- a thin veneer of extra functionality/prompting.
Harnesses:
- provides new actuators to the
OpenAI just killed my startup 😱 RIP Omnipilot, you were too beautiful for this world.
Only joking! We’re still here, just upgraded our AI with some OpenAI magic!

Omnipilot is actually LIVE on product hunt now!
Would love you to check it out and let me know what you think in the comments!!
Check out the souped up the launch video, the link to Product hunt is in the replies!
@apartovi
it’s fucking legendary that you’re sharing this.
if something like that happened to me, i wouldn’t begin to think about teaching this lesson, the pain!
Very strong, honourable, and generous move to share it! your bravery, and raw honesty has created a lot of value!
@dannolan
Only viable option: Eagles and rats.
Why? Both impossible to defend against by the others (air & numbers).
Strategy:
10 eagles go take down the hunter.
For the rest, distract & bite sensitive areas with rats, blind and bleed with eagles.
Bit graphic but I think I’m safe
tech doesn’t need to debase us into mindless consumers of junk-food information
it can help us transcend ourselves
but it all stems from the incentives it’s built with
tech built for advertisers is designed to suck our attention and make us less intentional in our lives
Coworking & Barbecue
TOMORROW in this SUNNY garden in Pimlico, London.
DM for deets, just got an ice cream maker too.
Coworking from 11 (probably will be just me aha)

helping people realize that your product would improve their life isn’t a scam
Making it easy to buy isn’t a scam, producing sick content about how you make it, demos of it in action, happy customers talking about it, all not scams!
I’d love there to be more commas on the road!
@vgr
Chomsky is the person I think of, Bertrand Russell as well, agree they aren't exactly huge caricatures we all associate left-lib with.
I identify as left-lib. No. 1 priority: quality & high quality of opportunity/education for all, No. 2: good lower-bound life quality for all
Any launched founder knows no launch is ever smooth, but for this one I was Literally still making this video at 00.01 PST when launch day started!!
Magicflow is a privacy-first time tracker that uses OpenAI embeddings to do automatic categorisation, & ChatGPT to give feedback

This is just a fiction thing it’s not true in real life in real life.

Not surprising on the privacy front, given he "consulted" Cambridge Analytica back in the Brexit days.
Facebook is still tracking data from any source they can lay their hands on, not just online, real life too. 483 companies shared my data with them ☹️

Find out what personal data Facebook & Google have collected about you, and delete data you don't want them to keep.
#DeleteFacebook
isn't realistic. Facebook is designed to be hard to delete. They’ve been improving retention since 2007.
Criticising Facebook is good, BUT removing barriers to deleting it is crucial.
We need to build a Working Exit Door from Facebook.
@joodalooped
i did this when i was 13! i made a tiny boat out of a tin can, bubblewrap and corks, when everyone else made big boats out of 2L bottles for the race down the river
felt just as good as you would imagine, especially when a parent tried to disqualify my entry by saying mine
Behind the scenes in-app look at pre-launch and Launch day for me!
Lots of messaging!

came in extremely clutch here. Some web design, some coding!

I think most people respond with the vibe “i want it to be affordable to me”, which is to be honest the wrong response as sad as it is. It’s too scarce a resource to be easily affordable, as then people will squat.
Maybe a 1-3 per verified person rule could allow it to be cheap
@robertwiblin
valorization of agency and competence explains it all imo.
while as the actual leader he made some big mistakes and lacked empathy, in becoming emperor etc, he definitely showed abnormal levels of agency and competence, ppl love that shit i guess
so Mistral's model is very good. using it rn to write this tweet

Beeper is incredibly cool. ~10x easier to get through all your messages, highly recommend signing up!
Used to be called NovaChat, and I discussed it in

The reason why all these sites "have" to give Facebook data on us to target us is that Facebook is a monopoly.
There's really no other choice if you want to be a competitive store/media outlet/company. That's how you know it's messed up!
if you get annoyed when coding in places which don't have Copilot support, DM me! e.g.
Xcode
Jupyter notebooks
VS Code extensions
plain text editors like Sublime
github . com itself ironically
etc.
something fun to show you
@devonzuegel
IRL the good guys have agency and vision and the bad guys (putin, neofascists) want the world to go back to how it used to be.
It’s a super interesting fault in our fiction though!
People! We're up to
#4
! That means we are TECHNICALLY above the fold on the Product Hunt website! Look at that beautiful sight
Have also seen unbelievably cool people like our launch tweet. I of course mean everyone who liked it, but ppl I've looked up to for years (PH CEO shh)
The love we’ve had today from our early users has really blown me away.
Dozens of tweets like these, makes the whole rollercoaster so worthwhile!
Making things is hard but it’s all worth it when people support you like this!
@geoffreylitt
that’s interesting but i disagree
can’t conversation feel like natural flow, playing with meaning and with ideas, in a nuanced, almost physical way?
current chat is like driving a pre-Model T car, clunky and unintuitive. Horses felt more natural. but conversation? that’s flow
@maccaw
Yup! I’m building this.
From talking to users, integrations alone weren’t enough.
We’re starting with time/productivity tracking, integrated with Apple health for health&productivity insights. Have also built a bookmark manager.

Awesome challenge, building a brand and a movement (with

new default browser just dropped
lazy search is so fucking good, it’s like a super powered omnibox, and it feels 2x faster than chrome?

The world has changed. From now, no matter what happens billions of words of plausibly interesting AI content will be produced every year.
Curation & editing will be 💥important💥 Can you "trust" this content & its authorship, is it "authentic"? Fuck.. maybe... blockchain 😬☹️?
