Truth.
This's a major gap between Distributed Systems and Software Engineering courses in today's CS colloquium. Not many SE courses (where students learn software testing) touch distributed systems, while distributed systems courses do not commonly include testing or verification especially at the implementation level. Topics like DST, invariants, and formal specification should really be taught in upper-division courses to prepare students for real-world systems.
