I am really excited to share this as we have been working on an AI grassroots community for Computer Vision for & by Africans. We call it Ro'ya which is an Arabic word for vision, to indicate the focus of our community on CV datasets, methods and applications that impact Africa.

I have been fighting this shit for years. The Chinese community is quite strong in the field and that's documented in terms of top-tier publications. They can drive change 👍 and kudos for it. But will they do the same for other racist incidents and defend others?.
