I’ve supported Melbourne Heart/City since the start. We understandably lost so many fans when CFG took over but some of us stuck through the hard times and although it isn’t like what it used to be, I still love this club so much and appreciate the memories Ive made along the way
Every city fan should feel robbed. This is meant to be OUR home final. We deserve it, we earned it, but it’s been robbed off us. You go to the finals and the APL are just sitting there in their boxes laughing at us.
Want to build the league? A Simple solution is letting all kids 14 and under go for free. You make back the loss in food and drinks, you hook in the next generation of kids and you automatically improve the attendance and league for years. BIG PICTURE STUFF. Well done coasties 👏🏼

As the womens attendance rises, the mens is dwindling. Why do you think this is? Not that it’s a bad thing at all but What’s attracting people to the womens game over the mens?
So victory, Sydney fc, Adelaide, CCM fans all in the same stadium. Not to mention anyone who bought a “unite round pass”….this could well a truly be carnage…..
I really don’t understand why ALeague clubs don’t build their own smaller stadiums. Sitting 20K MAX with the option to extend in the future. Atmosphere is what got me going to games every single week, it’s what brings in new fans. Perth looked great at Macedonia park man…
This guy is probably the best player I’ve ever seen in the ALeague. He could be playing in any of the top leagues. Not sure how we got so lucky! And he seems to absolutely love the club too, give him a 5 year contract ❤️

One of the many ban notices given to minors returning to their seats after helping with the Tifo. This minor was tackled to ground after a scuffle broke out next to him. Police refused to acknowledge him as a minor and added 3 years to his DOB on the ban notice.
@aleaguemen
Gotta give it to him, never runs away after a loss, always faces the fans, always thanks the fans. Say what you want about Macca, he’s a class human being.
@SydneyFC
You Stand with The APL on anything they do or say let's be honest. You're there little golden boys, could never do wrong. I'd probably stand with them too if they gave me everything I asked for.
Sometimes I get really jealous of teams in and around Sydney, you guys get to go to so many away days, our nearest other than the derby (which is at the same stadium anyway) is Adelaide or Sydney, 11 hours away. Australia is just so big.
No mention on Melbourne City at all. This is meant to be a 30M Australian business. Instead they’re using their platform to plug ronaldo and get clicks. Constantly talking about other leagues but never promoting their own. It’s ridiculous and the app is shit.
Some of the biggest names in world football have joined the Saudi revolution this transfer window 🇸🇦
Will Cristiano Ronaldo (

) or Karim Benzema (

) fire their clubs to
@TheAFCCL
glory?
It all kicks off tonight.
The city group don’t give a fuck about Melbourne city fans, we’re the bottom of their barrel. If they gave a fuck they wouldn’t have been one of the front runner for this decision. the club I’ve grown to love so much sold us down the river, for what to them, is pocket change.
NPL football is different, I’ve gone to see city NPL games heaps of times in pre season and stuff but
@smfc
has a whole different feel to it. It’s a really welcoming, family orientated club. Good food, good company and good football. What more could ya want?
I understand why some of the NSD clubs don’t wanna get behind the AL, but what I can’t understand is AL fans not getting behind the NSD. Football was here long before the ALeague and those fans still remain loyal. Me personally I love going to both, the more football the better!
This is getting too much. My friend as moved with his 1 year old child and family this weekend and told he had to sit in the active because he didn’t have a ticket to sit behind active with literally 100s of seats available. This isn’t family friendly

Stand up for your fans. You should be disappointed in the league, the clubs and yourselves for allowing this decision. Money talks. Boycott the lot. Reverse the decision.
Tolgay, the only player who walked over to the fans at the end and clapped and the only player (other than the young boys) that deserve to wear the badge.
@MelbourneCity
make sure he stays next season.
Got approached last night by 5 seccys, there were tops 10 of us sitting at the back of aami, asked every one of us for our tickets and only us, after we literally just showed our tickets to get into the isle. Asked one what’s the problem and why we are getting targeted, no answer
@robcornthwaite
@keepupau
You hope so. They cant ignore this backlash. We just won't go to the GF. Money wasted and the trust with the fans that already took YEARS and YEARS to rebuild is broken. They must reverse the decision and Townsend needs to step down. Or the league is done. Its nothing without us
The AFC is massive for the ALeague and so was the World Cup, it’s shown we’ve got talent oozing from everywhere and finally we’re seeing players get the moves they deserve. Hopefully some of this money gets put back into the league and making to it better. INVEST IN GRASSROOTS!
If you’re a
@MelbourneCity
fan, you’ll know how long we’ve waited for tonight, an ACL game on home soil. After a tough campaign last time out and then covid denying us, we’re finally back and at home too! Get pumped up, let’s make some noise, it’s a fkn party at aami park LFG 🥳
If the league is struggling for money so much is it not smarter to open the league up to more teams and relegation? Will bring more fans, more money and a better atmosphere. This closed off league is starting to really show the cracks and I don't know how much longer it can last
Btw If I see Marin Jakoliš rolling around holding his face in one more game I’ll lose it. Someone have a word with him man. You don’t act like that at this club. Proper fanny behaviour that.
Is it just me who thinks the
@AustraliaCup
is one of the best tournaments in the world? Something about the small local stadiums, good food and the atmosphere that I love so much.
Central Coast Stadium, Australia. 🇦🇺
Home of Central Coast Mariners FC, up to 20,000 spectators can bask in the sun gazing out at Brisbane Water whilst watching their team play.

@MelbourneCity
this is how a club is meant to act. BACK YOUR FANS. We may not have been involved in the stuff on the weekend but trust me, our active is being treated exactly the same while you guys stand by and let it happen and we’re getting sick of it. Soon you’ll have no one
I’m seeing a lot of victory fans complaining about the facial recognition stuff when you lot are the ones who’s caused this, you’ve given them a reason to do it. They probably already wanted to do it and you’ve given them free rein to do so.
I’m moving house atm for the first time in like 15 years and I’m coming across so much stuff from heart and early city days! PK the LEGEND and Williams who I’ll forever have a soft spot for. Why don’t they do these city insider books anymore!? Mooy on the front of one too ❤️⚪️
I wish Australia wasn’t so massive, away days in England are just a day trip, going anywhere away from Melbourne it’s a weekend away. We need bullet trains
Couldn’t be prouder of our city women this season 🏆 but a special shout out to
@Bubs_11
, stepped up whenever needed and was pretty much an assistant coach on the sideline too. MASSIVE presence! 44 years old and still killing it, an inspiration to all women out there 🥹❤️🤍💙
I don’t wanna be that person but…Rado, took over a team that honestly anyone could have managed to victory, now he’s having to rebuild and yeah our team needs time but there’s enough quality in there to be strong this season. So for me, this season really is now or never for him
@Mike_Tuckerman
@aleaguemen
The way I see it, unless you support city, you don’t like him because of what he’s done. People get on his back about tap ins, but he’s tapping them in past their teams so it’s kind of understandable that there would be a bit of jealousy. He cops a lot of crap for no reason.
& before anyone turns around and says “its easy for city to boycott, they’ve got no fans” get fucked. There’s plenty of us, myself included that have gone to away games and would have, if it was earned. This is a history breaking season for us but we’re still putting fans first
@samlutd
If you think selling the soul of the league and not listening to anything the fan base is screaming out for is worth 20M to you then I don't know what to say. The loss they are going to make for not listening to their fans will be a lot more than a 20M loss.
Gotta stop calling the finals winners champions. They’re not champions come on, they won the end of the year 4 game tournament. That goes for anyone who wins the finals this isn’t about CCM. I can’t stand the fact that Aussies big up the finals over the league.
On reflection I didn’t word this right, I should have said why doesn’t the government fund smaller stadiums for clubs so the product would be more sustainable with more atmosphere and more people attending because of that.
AT LEAST city active are sticking to their word. It’s funny that it’s been both Sydney teams that have caved in. Convenient that. Absolutely pathetic from the Cove. The hypocrisy is astounding. Talk about “bootlicking”.
What happened to the APL being in constant contact with active supporters? The over policing and power hungry security has continued to get worse and worse this season and we’re all created like criminals.
@aleaguemen
you NEED to back your fans before we all are done with it.
When I was little, I had to pretend to be a boy to play football, I cut my hair short and played with the boys, there was no girls teams in England back then. Nobody to really inspire to be, just the mens game. How incredible it must be to turn on the tv and watch someone 1/2
