@ben_a_goldfarb @KirkusReviews Really excited to read this book! Congratulations and thank you for bringing this incredibly important dimension of the Anthropocene to light.

@sciencewrighter @bethpratt @PabloJBarillas A great guide to west coast butterflies is Arthur Shapiro’s field guide to Sacramento and environs — not where Beth is seeing this mourning cloak but most of the butterflies overlap. I’ve only ever seen a description of the fact that mourning cloaks do this — never why.

Yay Eager and @ben_a_goldfarb and especially, our favorite rodent!
Honored to be preaching the beaver gospel this weekend in Paonia, where my journalistic journey began. Thanks to @ColoFarmFood and @WestSlopeCenter for having me — and to @SemiEmily, owner of Paonia Books, for giving this town the literary hub it deserves!

Truly that @wapo editorial about 8 billion fabulous beings ripping through our life support system was monumentally depressing. How can they be so dumb? Why won't they actually do the research, or at least take an ecology class?

This is a short one-woman play that remind you why theater is fundamental. *Truly* well written and performed. @IrishRep
We were delighted to have #DavidHydePierce and his husband Brian Hargrove at 22nd Street to see #TracyThorne in #JackWasKind this weekend! Don't miss it:

When it comes to beaver, I do what @ben_a_goldfarb says is right, so now follow @MDigout99 and more doings of our favorite aquatic/terrestrial critter! Geniuses despite that smallest brain to body ratio among mammals. Hope for us all.
If you're a beaver aficionado who's not following @MDigout99, you're seriously missing out. Most interesting 🦫 behavior content on the internet and it ain't close.

15 minutes of staggering beauty and anguish. Not a Russian novel but @NJHagens on behalf of @GerardoCeballos and Creatures United, which appears not to have a twitter account! Fix that please! ttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lgoD9q3A5RU

When Summer Becomes the Season of Danger and Dread via @NewYorker @nijhuism writes with sober clarity on a subject that makes me, at least, reach for the bourbon.
