It was an afternoon of collaboration at @MDCollege as we welcomed Federal Reserve Board Governor @adriana_kugler and @RaphaelBostic, President of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta, for a community roundtable focused on ways in which we can work together to strengthen our workforce and create collective impact. During their visit, our MDC team had the opportunity to engage with our esteemed guests to discuss the College’s world-class programs and its role in preparing students for career success and advancing economic mobility.

Today, I hosted @FrancisSuarez for a tour of the @MIAFreedomTower to share its historic renovations and @MDCollege's plans ahead of its centennial celebration this summer. As a landmark in the heart of the Magic City, the College is committed to preserving its legacy while honoring our community’s resilience, history, and vibrant culture.

It’s all about connecting talent to opportunity! Now celebrating two years since its inception, @MDCollege has led the Miami Tech Works initiative in strengthening our community’s growing tech landscape, working with its tech talent coalition to place more than 300 students in local tech-related jobs. @US_EDA

It was an engaging @MiamiChamber Trustee Luncheon discussing how, through partnerships, our community is shaping the future of healthcare. The latest collaboration with @FIU and @BaptistHealthSF is poised to make an impact by expanding training and research in the medical field. Together, we are driving innovative solutions and advancing patient care. Proud to have been joined by our @MDCollege Medical Campus team, who is supporting this important work and committed to fueling the pipeline of talent to build a healthier and stronger community.

Miami Dade College’s new Broadband Outdoor Lab is turning the vision of strengthening the telecommunications workforce into reality. Thanks to our partnership with @MasTec, a state-of-the-art facility will serve as a training hub to provide students with hands-on experience and seamless pathways to careers in broadband and telecommunications. Made possible through investments from the state of Florida’s Job Growth Grant Fund, and supported by @FLACommerce, this initiative sets the foundation for future workforce development in a rapidly evolving field.
