Thank you @BobFergusonAG for your leadership in combatting antisemitism and hate.
Today marks the one-year anniversary of the single deadliest day in Jewish history since the Holocaust. As Governor, I will implement a statewide plan to combat antisemitism as part of an anti-hate agenda. This Plan will include additional funds for security of religious organizations. We must work toward a society that is welcoming, safe, and inclusive for all Washingtonians, including our Jewish neighbors, and stand up against all hate, bigotry, and discrimination.

Saddened to see more graffiti at UW's campus, which I'm told appeared this past Sunday. Wishing a smooth commencement to all students after a painful few weeks of protest and activity.
New pro-Palestinian graffiti seen on UW’s campus today. Buildings include Gerberding Hall (admin building), Denny Hall, Suzzallo, and some on the Quad. It is currently unknown what time this was done.

We must do everything we can to ensure the LGBTQ+ and all of our communities are safe from bigotry and targeting. We welcome this sentencing in Idaho in what could have been a violent outcome.

This new @glaad & @ADL report released today is an important piece of data that shines a light on anti-LGBTQ+ extremism that has been bubbling across our communities for years. In the PNW, we are encountering growing incidents at schools, businesses, and in neighborhoods. ⬇️
🧵 In a first-of-its-kind report, ADL and @GLAAD tracked 356 anti-LGBTQ+ hate and extremism incidents from June 2022 to April 2023, including 305 acts of harassment, 40 acts of vandalism and 11 incidents of assault.

Honored to meet today with Sen. @PattyMurray to discuss the deeply troubling rise of antisemitism & hate impacting our communities. Grateful to have a leader in both Washingtons who listens and acts with integrity and care for her constituents.
The rise in antisemitic rhetoric and hate crimes in WA state and across the country is deeply disturbing. Today in Seattle, I met with Jewish community leaders to hear how they're doing and how the federal government can better do its part to combat antisemitism.

I am a few days late but thank you @USANickBrown for joining me and our partners @naamnw @HCHSeattle @ACLU_WA for an inspiring program on the Black Jewish civil rights alliance of the 1960's. We are grateful this work continues in Seattle and acknowledge we have so much to do.
This film and gathering last night was fantastic! Kudos to @ADLPNW, the @naamnw, and @mcypers for fostering an important dialogue on the shared legacy between the Jewish and Black communities in the fight for civil rights.

Thank you @MayorofSeattle for condemning this act of antisemitism that took place at @TplDeHirschSina this week. We are grateful for your strong leadership and voice in speaking out against hate and supporting Seattle's Jewish community.
Heartbroken and appalled that Temple De Hirsch Sinai was targeted with hateful graffiti the day before Yom HaShoah, Holocaust Day of Remembrance. We will not tolerate anti-Semitism in Seattle – we must all speak out against this disgusting vandalism.
