A good fiend of mine called me today to tell me his Glioblastoma is back and has to go through surgery in a few weeks. He has a young child. Life is short, take care of your loved ones and enjoy life. What we try to accomplish here on FinTwit with money doesn't matter in the end.

Like Peter Lynch said you just need 1 or 2 multibaggers to make up for all your loses in your portfolio. Oh boy did I loose a lot of money in the stock market along my journey but I always came back hungry to improve. And this is is all money I saved by working my ass.

The best advice I received when I was working as an employee was to save and invest twice my salary as fast as I can. A 10% gain once you had twice your salary invested is like a 20% salary increase each year. Opened my eyes to the power of compounding.
