Another flipping awesome Mexican soccer mascot!? A Zebra!?
@satansmoustache
showed me this this morning, and it's fabulous!!
Here's the instagram where there are more photos and a video
It's been a while since I drew anything, I felt inspired after seeing some furs do some Richard Scarry style art. So I gave it a shot. The cheap dollar-store watercolours were atrocious, but it turned out well.
Dear diary,
Today I turned into
@DizFoley
and I don't know how I should feel. The energy exhuming from having a big beak is intoxicating. How he manages to do it everyday is something I admire.
Had fun painting a Giant Pig Nose for an order. It's fun to have to bow and yurn your head to be able to see around the giant pig nose that sprung out of your face. 😊
Feeling disappointed at seeing some of the "popufur" responses to Sexy Beasts. "Hurr durr normies suck & this is garbage" posts in order to garner likes & have masses of followers nodding in unison. I get it, it's not your cup of tea, it's not even a beverage most furs like.
Happy TF Tuesday
#TFTuesday
Why not take a break from daily life and become a hypno bear. Try on that leather jacket; puff on that pipe; relax and let your head empty out of all other thoughts.

HEEEEE HAAAAWWWW!!! :B
I woke up with a big dumb smile this morning :B
Cartoon Donkey Face finished baking overnight.
It surprisingly works without the teeth too.
Still some adjustments to make, but I think this is on the right track for a decently thick mane. The final hair will be trimmed shorter too, but I don't want to trim it now until I get this secure in place.
Since I finished the monkey face and parrot jaw, decided to play around with clay for ideas and concepts, this toon donkey came out to play. Wonder if I should continue and refine it.
This is fucking me up real hard.

@codexrau
dug up a clip from some lost media and I cannot find the ep anywhere.
Lost Media: "The Flying Wahoo", it's ep 20 of the series 'Hollywood Off-Ramp' from E! network, aired 10-20-2000
If anyone has leads, let me know!
Another balloon day 😱🥳
I think I'll push to get more prep work for costume parts for makeup demos done today. Skunk and Fox fur hoods have been on my mind.
*BAWK*
Looks like
@Botherrabbitrub
decided to shove me into a rubber chicken suit for
#HotBirdSummer
It just won't come off, I guess this is my life now. 😳🐔😳
*BAWK*
Retto's been making all this great Banjo art show up on my timeline, then it clicked.
I'm having fun with making these mock-ups. One custom nose away from a decent Banjo.
Put it on and GUH-HUH for me :D
Scored something fun at the thrift store, $40cad for a leather biker jacket. It's worn, and a bit big, but it's something I've been looking for for a long time to use for makeup & costume stuff.
I finally opened up this pleasure island packet with a brochure and badges that
@thatislebeaver
sent me years ago.
I sure hope no strange transformations happen tomorrow. 😏
Welp, Halloween is done, and Grinch season is now done. So... I can now take on some commission-type projects. I'm able to comfortably take on 3-5 spandex hood mask projects. Here's a collage of what I've made over the years.
I tried placing some fur on the camel mask for hair, but it looked stupid. If I had more time, I'm sure I could go further. It'll be up to the customer to find an actual wig (as we discussed). So The camel mask is done. I like the fit alot.
Adorable yarn toy lion makeup, made by Tono Garzon for 'La gran aventura de los Lunnis'
That's some amazing skill to get that kind of texture and detail, he did an absolutely wonderful job with this piece.
But there's a small portion of furs, me included, who LOVE this art because this type of art resonates profoundly with us. Furry isn't some homogeneous blob. I avoid going around shitting on the massive amount of "sparkledog cute OwO" fursuits out there that I don't care for.
I know it's hard to tell, but the pool toy mask is almost as smooth as I can make it by hand, may resort to a couple of layers of clear acrylic spray to finish it off.
Sculpture number 5 is experimental. Cartoon eyes with a big forehead. It's in the style of that Hollywood Offramp mascot episode's makeup, The Flying Wahoo.
The intent here is to wear black sclera contacts with it.
I'm intentionally making this a bit creepy or uncanny.
Secret project reveal. My most abstract piece yet... inflatable pool toy half mask. It has a seam down the middle, taught wrinkles on the curve, and can be painted as almost anything. All that remains is smoothing as much as humanly possible.
So it would be great if some of these furs could ease up on the hate of this type of UYOE prosthetic makeup art. It's kindof disrespectful and discards the 1000's of hours I've spent sculpting my art and creating prosthetic pieces.
Painting underway, maybe 1/2 way done. Still need another layer, then handpaint hard lines and details. For the first two pool toys, I decided to go for an alligator and an orca.
Who wouldn't want a giant foam and rubber snakeman suit? :D
Check out more photos on Rob Burman's Instagram, it was made by Barney Burman and painted by Joe Colwell.
Tonight's mood: Fat fleshy animal prosthetic makeup. I'd love to make a chubby or fat character sometime, in the lines of these wonderful creations:
Boar: "Bed and Boar" - Monsters (1988) s2 e14
Green monster: unknown
Woodchuck: "Dream House " - Face Off s12 e3
