A player thats about goals, is about goals 24/7. They want pens in training, and want to score in all the small sided games.

Being a father is like being a ref. The priority is to ensure the laws are upheld and the players stays safe.
A good ref will, though, guide the players through the game & let it flow, educate instead of dictate and only produce cards when absolutely necessary.
