For Putin, it's been important to gain allies in the West (not only) through spy networks, disinformation campaigns, and election interference. Ahead of February elections, Germany is witnessing new skillful efforts to advance Kremlin-friendly politicians

New: After the US elections a Russian influence operation has set its sights on Germany's federal elections. We've uncovered over 100 websites set up by a group known as Storm-1516. Some of these sites have already been used to attack German politicians.

Georgia is a sad tale of conspiracy theory and unlimited power synergy. That’s what Ivanishvili really is with his serious talk about “global war parties”,“fifth column”, and the West wanting to oust him. The whole country is a hostage of his seeming paranoia. #GeorgiaProtests

Reflections from Tbilisi: it increasingly looks like an anti-Kremlin uprising, not just a pro-EU demo.  Govt has resorted to violence and oppression, arrested opposition leaders and activists. Traditionally Georgians don’t respond well to violence. Still, who will crack first?
