6 years ago one of my childhood heroes died. Pedro Morales (October 22, 1942 – February 12, 2019) We loved watching him on TV growing up in Buffalo, NY. My Dad got tickets to watch him wrestle in person. It was so exciting. My brother Joel Mero and I would wrestle each other and one of us would be the Champ Pedro Morales! We got to meet him in 1987, before we ever wrestled. He was walking through a lobby at the Ramada Renaissance hotel and we approached Pedro and told him how much we enjoyed watching him wrestle. He was so kind and appreciated hearing our childhood stories! The amazing thing about sharing this memory, was I would eventually win the Intercontinental Title, a title that was once held by the late great Pedro Morales! So long my friend..

I just finished an amazing event at Kalahari Convention Center in Sandusky, Ohio. I was the keynote speaker for Ohio Parks and Recreation. What a blessing it was to meet so many people that pour into other people’s lives.

In 1994, I shared the stage with Gladys Knight at the Michael Jackson concert in Atlanta, GA. I passed her my Badd Blaster to shoot into the crowd. She truly has a beautiful heart for helping others. She is the “Empress of Soul.”
