Over 20 protesters have been arrested since the mourning on the Liangma Bridge on Nov. 27 2022 in Beijing. Most of them were arrested at home and offices in Beijing, while some were arrested in other provinces.
Our sisters are detained because they joint the protest against Zero-Covid policy, but they are still in custody after the government dropped the policy.
In such a grim winter, plague and targeted purge is spreading swiftly and vastly. Meanwhile, young citizens who care about the society are disappearing. They are musicians, journalists, directors. They are accountants, teachers, media editors. (4/5)
They are just you and me who did nothing but step forward. But now they are confronted with being silenced, jailed, and receiving baseless accusations.
Please don’t look away. Please don’t keep silent when you still have freedom to speak out. (5/5)
According to recent reports, the charges being brought to the participants of the Liangma River protest in Beijing were changed from “Disturbing Public Order” to “Picking Quarrels and Provoking Trouble.” (1/22)
This is Zhixin’s statement recorded by herself after her first arrest. She was arrested again cross-provincially on December 23 2022. It has been 24 days since her second arrest. (1/5)

STAND WITH GOLDSMITHS' ALUMNA
Nobody should be detained simply for participating in peaceful assemblies or advocating human rights.
We wholeheartedly invite Goldsmiths to voice its support for Siqi and the other detained protesters.
Her attorney’s request for guarantor pending trial was declined. Like other arrestees, she still stays in custody in Chaoyang Detention Center in Beijing. (2/5)
Lunar New Year is approaching, but these young protesters’ families can’t unite with them or even get any access to their status quo. The celebration of fireworks is everywhere, but those who are being retaliated for their mourning for their compatriots are brutally silenced.(3/5
Some detention notices state that they are suspected of disrupting public order. Some arrestees were given detention notices where the accusations were left blank. And some arrestees were even refused to be provided with any legal documents.
