They explain in that first post-credits scene that the symbiotes have cross- dimensional shared memories, so because Topher’s Venom knew Peter, Hardy’s Venom had a vague idea of who he is.

Y’all aren’t tired of the “cinematic universe,” you’re tired of Marvel’s. You’re tired of the same thing over and over, the same tone, the same bombastic, CGI-filled finales, the same corny jokes.
DC’s not gonna do that. The DCU is not built to be that.

Disregarding the characterization for a moment, the costumes aren’t even that accurate? Like the textures and designs on the suit are totally different from most versions of Moon Knight, and Mr. Knight is stripped of all simplicity.
They really don’t look THAT similar.
