Dr Toregeldy Sharmanov - a colossus of public health - is no more. But his legacy - the elevation of primary health care via the Alma-Ata Declaration - lives on. On behalf of @WHO_Europe, deep condolences to Prof. Sharmanov's loved ones & all of @Kazakhstan on this great loss.
