Exactly: the country cannot survive an economic collapse, as without a stable economy, the society will disintegrate.
It is simply impractical to obsess about saving all lives, and triage will require us to sacrifice some people.

Temples aren’t public properties. They are the abodes of the respective deities, and a true Hindu knows that it is the worshipper’s privilege to be blessed with a Darshan

we Hindus are beyond sick and tired of being told that our religious symbols should be abandoned just because they were stolen from us and used for hate. Cc

Typical American supremacist.
Foreign interference, when his country does it, is moral and righteous, the impact on the aspirations of those savages be damned.
But when a rumor of foreign interference in his country arises, it is the greatest crime in the history of humanity.

Alternatively: he’s successfully mediated a string of peace deals in the Middle East, began holding China accountable, passed the first meaningful criminal justice reform bill in recent times, boosted the space program, halted military expansion....
Exactly: we need a new constitutional convention which consists of delegates elected by the people, to draft a constitution that is native to our motherland, and that empowers a civilizational state, subject to ratification via a plebiscite.
people act like they don't know the constitution can be rewritten. in fact countries do this all the time. the indian constitution, a prolix 550 page cut and paste job from the imperial govt of india act 1935, cannot be repaired. it has to be rewritten from scratch in 10 pages.

The same thing as every election year: “now is not the time”! You guys never accept that there are viable alternatives. Either the two parties commit to ending the two party system, and declare openly that they will welcome third parties in ‘24, or they face consequences.

Our demands are pretty simple: we want a multipolar world, and we wish to be completely independent of Middle Eastern oil, as Middle Eastern oil is used to fund Islamic fundamentalism: the biggest internal security threat that we face.

It can be defended very easily: He was doing his job. His job is to keep the UK safe. Shamima (even if she had 10 babies in danger) is still a threat to national security. The UK home office must act in the country’s best interest, not as a childcare centre for ISIS children.

The whole purpose of the said lockdown was to buy time to build capacity, get resources and infrastructure in place, and to prepare for a second wave: that objective has been accomplished. There’s no further justification whatsoever for continuing the lockdown.

Moreover, we need a mixed constitution, that has a President who runs foreign policy, national security, rule of law, and affairs that affect the whole nation, along with a Chancellor who runs the economy, domestic affairs, and issues concerning the various states

India doesn’t have a constitutional framework that treats rights as if they are absolute. All rights are subject to suspension during crises.
