Wee one has been reluctant to put pen to paper at school. We spoke about @Refuweegee last night and he announced that he wanted to write a welcome letter. He dictated, I wrote in yellow and he copied over. He found it hard but said, 'I'm not giving up'. So proud

House of Commons Library research 2022 noted, 'little evidence to suggest that stop and search provides an effective deterrent to offending...most searches result in officers finding nothing.' It disproportionately negatively impacts ethnic minorities so why is it still in use?
A slap on the wrist for officers responsible for the strip search of Child Q can't begin to tackle the systemic racism that makes Black children 6x more likely to experience such violations at the hands of police. It's time to end the use of strip search.
