It seems like Gonta's a fan of Professor Layton & Kokichi's a fan of Detective Conan. (Also, Kokichi has the same birthday as Kaito Kid. I like the headcanon that he's an orphan and chose that as his birthday to match his idol.)

@hydrawlicpress SO TRUE!! and its even worse given that Gonta as a character is imo meant to help the audience to see beneath Ouma's mask. I find it so confusing how people manage to make entire video analysis's on Ouma while hardly including his implied closest friend in the kg.

@freakyhara For Gonta it really is the translators fault. (by inserting noncanon caveman speech) In the original he came across as insecure and naive, not stupid. And I feel like people forget that the reason he has no social cues is because he literally spent 10 yrs away from human contact.
