When life feels heavy, the most lighthearted words spill out of me, and I am reminded once again of poetry’s place in the world.

The other day I wondered why there’s no law against a convicted felon being elected president and then it hit me, of course there isn’t. In what world would anyone ever vote for a convicted felon? And even if some did, there’s no way they’d actually win the majority vote…………

If you need me, I’ll be stress-baking for the next 4 years.

That time of year when you need to remind yourself that no, your plants aren't dying and no, you aren't doing anything wrong—they're just responding to a shift in seasons and right now—so are we. Take care and give grace through this grief, collective. You are so loved.
