A part that he brings up that people forget to is that often times POC characters are made POC for a reason while the inverse isn't really true. There were black characters in Hunger Games that got whitewashed and took out a lot of context for those specific characters

I remember watching one of those how to survive videos of a zombie movie and the guy was criticizing a girl for having a freeze response like saying she was weak and I felt pretty off about it. Now I think I know why. The disabled are always seen as disposable in 🧟♂️ movies :(
Because of the tropes around the zombie apocalypse narrative, the meta for surviving ends up being to dispose of marginalized people lest they be infected which becomes very distrusting when juxtaposed with victims of chattel slavery denied rest even in death.
