@Welshcake74 Today was so bloody sad. No Tiny Maniac staggering about looking for me, after I got back from the school run. All her things still everywhere because I can’t bear to move them 😔 tears from all 3 of us. We all slept together last night, heartbroken.

@Welshcake74 It’s awful. I kept my last dog going a couple of weeks longer than I should’ve because I didn’t want to pet him go. I’ve been determined not to make the same mistake this time round. Poor Old & AW though 😔💔

@mostly_grumpy Thanks pal. I really hope she knows how much she’s loved. I can’t comfort her anymore because she’s deaf but doesn’t enjoy cuddles now. We had to get the timing right & the vet said yesterday that it’s time so I have to do right by her. Fucking hurts though 😔

Anyway, it’s fucking shit all round. The Tiny Maniac has been my furry best mate for 14 years exactly & it’s going to be hideously painful going to bed tonight & not hearing her snore. BUT she’ll be pain & confusion free, & she comes first. Fin.

In theory, if she wants to stay she can. However, if she wants to say goodbye then leave, Old will take her out of the room. Hard to know what to do for the best tbh so we’ll play it by ear till the last minute. I don’t want her traumatised, but I can’t refuse her goodbye 💔

We’ve thought long & hard about whether to lie to Aw and say TTM just didn’t wake from a nap, but she made us promise some time ago that we would let her say goodbye when the time came, & so I don’t want to break that promise. So she can decide if she leaves the room or not.
