Why are they wicked? Because they’re back? Because they’re men?
Looks like a wonderful loving family to me. I see no wickedness other than your bigotry based on fairy tales.
@EX_EV0LUTIONIST
“They believe they must go through Mary as a way to approach Jesus instead of simply going to Jesus to appeal to the Father”
Have read the Catholic catechism. Multiple times. Don’t remember anything like this. Do you have a specific reference for that view?
@wendelltalks
No theist has ever provided me with empirical evidence for the existence of logic.
Yet they assume the existence of logic when they demand empirical evidence for Atheism.
We call that being inconsistent.

Josephus was ~60 yrs later & highly doctored by early Christians. Unreliable.
Tacitus was nearly 100 yrs later and affirms Christians, not Jesus.
Lucien wrote ~150 yrs later…
Hardly conclusive.
@wendelltalks
The drawing is obviously an illustration of what we find in nature. It is not intended to be evidence.
A quick google search yields millions of photos like this one, featuring clear strata.
You may claim it was all laid down in a global flood (demonstrably false) but the fact
@darwintojesus
This is completely accurate.
Atheists: If you’re going to call yourself that, please commit to saying “I believe there are no gods.” That doesn’t mean you’re 100% certain. But if you can’t do it, then you’re agnostic; you say there may or may not be gods.
@TommyLavinTST
I hope TST is looking at potential legal action.
Btw Goodnight Baphomet is one of my 4yo daughter’s favorite bedtime books. Such a beautiful message and wording of the 7 tenants.
@stacycay
I worked with a trans woman before and during her transition. We both noticed men talking over her when she used her lighter voice.
I thought it was so funny when it would happen, she’d switch to a deep voice and ask not to be interrupted. Others were shocked.
She was awesome.

He should go to prison.
How would you Christians feel if a Satanist or Atheist tore down a Christian display? Would you be raising money for legal defense? No, of course not.
You have your bible blinders on and can’t see that what you’re doing is incredibly wrong.
@CapturingChrist
@markoftheD
Easy.
If no god exists, then we will fail to find a single explanation or process in the physical universe that requires input or maintenance from a god.
Guess what - it’s true so far!
@pissedoffarkfan
@GigaBasedDad
Mohammed literally wrote. A lot. And gave his name.
The evidence Mohammad existed is WAY better than Jesus.
Like come on
@wendelltalks
What if it were a Satanist or Atheist who destroyed a Christian nativity scene display in a government building?
Hero or villain?
Answer should be the same for
@VoteCassidy
@darwintojesus
I never got this. The “celestial teapot” is a canonical example but even that can be disproved.
I think what they should be saying is the god-claim is not falsifiable.
@annamlulis
Funny. Jesus never said anything about abortion and your bible never condemns abortion. In fact, it strongly suggests that the unborn are less valuable than an adult and also give instructions for god-sanctioned abortions at the temple.
On top of that, it mentions “breath of
@erichovind
How do you know the difference between good and bad science?
Since science is a process, surely you mean that some organizations practice good practice and others practice bad process, right? Because if the process is good, then you accept the results, right?
@darwintojesus
What’s the first extra-biblical account? Josephus. 60 years after. Like I said.
As for the other figures, nobody is trying to restrict my (and others’) behavior based on their belief in them.
@darwintojesus
Nope. I would never change anyone’s beliefs forcefully.
I may, however, push a button to turn everyone into a critical thinker. Would need to consider it more, but it’s a possibility.
@Soul_Rocker1
@autocorrect2_0
“In god we trust” was a later addition to US currency. It PROMOTES religion.
Nobody is getting arrested for “praying.” Are they praying in a prohibited place loudly?
You’re not forced to accept anything. Don’t like gay sex? Don’t have gay sex. Same applies to abortion.
@darwintojesus
Nice write up thank you. Even as an atheist I largely agree. Truly objective morality seems to be impossible for atheists to ground. This shouldn’t be a controversial point.
I don’t think objective morality exists, though. So not being able to ground it isn’t a logical concern.
@darwintojesus
@CosmicSkeptic
Even IF he’s correct about physical laws and we don’t know where the laws came from, inserting a deity is literally just God of the Gaps.
@darwintojesus
To clarify, I’m not saying he didn’t exist; he probably did.
I’m saying the evidence is poor - too poor to conclude that he did exist to the extent necessary for one to change their life.
It’s a big hurdle, and one that Jesus doesn’t clear.
@RoblovesJC
@GigaBasedDad
So Christianity doesn’t give you hope? Peace? Purpose? Sense of belonging/community? Security in the afterlife?
I keep hearing about all the benefits of being Christian. You can’t have it both ways.
I’m really not sure why Christians push so hard (as an attack) for atheism to be classified as a religion.
Is religion bad? Is faith bad?
What if they succeed and it becomes a recognized religion? Will OK have atheist chaplains? Do we get holidays off work?
Seems odd to me 🤷♂️
ATHEISM.
1. Atheism is a religion (belief-system) like all other belief-systems (religions) of the world (They say: "We believe in Evolution!").
2. Atheists have to say that they "believe" there is no God because it can't be proved empirically,thus making it a bona fide religion
@darwintojesus
Why can’t we leave the gap empty until we have a viable & evidenced explanation?
Until then, I’m comfortable saying “I don’t know.” You?
Thank you,
@darwintojesus
, for another great conversation. Really appreciate being able to have talks with someone on the other team who is learned and insightful - and also where it’s cordial, even productive.
Hope to have many more 🖖
Here in a half hour me and my good friend the friendly atheist
@logistrix
will be discussing a few arguments, it’s super impromptu but we’re both free and figured why not, you’re all welcome to come join us.
Set a reminder for my upcoming Space!
@darwintojesus
Let’s assume for a moment that zero gods exist.
Now, who should be your highest authority?
For me, it’s definitely not myself; it’s my wife.
@darwintojesus
As it stands, god appears to do nothing. Asking me to wait and see… I guess that’s ok; it may convince me if it happens, but doesn’t convince me now.
@wendelltalks
It SHOULD be interpreted figuratively.
Science has conclusively shown that literal Genesis absolutely didn’t happen.
The problem for Christians is that their theology is based upon a literal interpretation; without a fall of man, Jesus has no meaning.
So you’re sorta
@justnemeth7
@nicksortor
Ok. I see there’s a knowledge issue. Let me help.
1A guarantees religious freedom, that the US will not promote one religion over another. Displaying 10C’s in classrooms violates that. The ACLU is arguing on the side of the Constitution.
So you’re on the anti-Constitution side.
@darwintojesus
I’m not going to answer as a “liberal” as I’m apolitical, but as an atheist…
IF they gave full, adult, informed consent as a normal human adult could, then I can’t see anything wrong with it - but that’s a huge “if.”
That being said, I wouldn’t be signing up for it.
@darwintojesus
Twice so far? Are we counting post-Easter-pre-ascension separately?
In any case, we have zero extra-biblical corroboration of just the man Jesus till *60 YEARS* after his supposed death. Color me unimpressed.
So yeah, another, better documented, appearance would be nice.
@Chewb3rt
@Askwhyisit
There are zero first hand accounts of Jesus.
There are zero contemporary accounts of Jesus.
There are zero non-Christian accounts of Jesus’ miracles.
The evidence for Christianity doesn’t even lift off the ground, let alone meet the bar for belief.
@darwintojesus
Let’s assume evolution is true.
Do you think that a tribe with a collective religion giving them a sense of togetherness & agency over their environment might’ve had some survival benefits?
@darwintojesus
This may be surprising, but I agree with you.
All science can do is fail to disprove. It’s the best tool we have for determining the nature of our universe, but it is unable to prove anything.
