It’s really noticeable from #Newspoll that there is roughly 1/3 of the country that is stubbornly conservative. Dutton approval - 33pc. Voice opposition - 37pc. LNP primary vote - 34. Albanese doesn’t need to win them over - he needs to win over the rest.

@RoseBJackson I was born in 1985. The year I finished high school, we invaded Iraq. The year I finished my first degree, we hit the financial crisis. The year after I finally got a permanent job, we got hit with bushfires and covid. We have known only crisis and failure. We're tired.

@benschneiders It's simple. This isn't about Dan Andrews's job performance (good or bad). News Ltd hate Daniel Andrews for one reason - they don't own him. He got elected twice against their endorsement, once in a landslide. News Ltd is meaningless in Victoria and they hate it.

@Kieran_Gilbert If you're surprised to see Labor running a presidential campaign - don't be. The big secret is that - by some stats - Albo is one of the most popular Labor leaders since 1990. His numbers are better than Beazley, Gillard, Crean, Latham, Shorten, and Keating. Only Rudd beats him.

Why are "Labor trolls" attacking the media? Simple. 48% of the Australian people voted ALP at every election since 1996 - but 80% of the newspapers, TV & radio stations in this country refuse to hold the LNP to account, even though they've governed for 20/25 years. Zero trust.

@KosSamaras It’s the low-middle income graduates that actually have the problem - their degree often didn’t lead to an income high enough to buy a house or live comfortably in a major city, but it’s high enough to start repaying HECS loans. People like teachers, social workers etc
