I recently watched Alien with my kids. Their dad told me a few days later that the little one had a bad stomach ache and seemed to be in pain. He lay down on the sofa and then very suddenly pushed a soft toy dinosaur from out of his t-shirt just like this scene 😂 Legend.
Alien Romulus is out today but don't forget where it all started. Still one of the greatest jump scares and scenes in cinema.

The rent doesn’t have to cover the mortgage. The landlord can top it up themselves. It’s their investment and if they can’t afford to do that they should sell it. Also, my landlord is a company that owns multiple properties, they do not need sympathy.

was incredible! One of the best films I’ve seen this year. It’s a brutal true story, the search for justice after a horrific dictatorship, but done with such levity at times. The tone was perfectly balanced. I laughed, I cried. Magnificent ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I started my new job today! It went really well (I worried for weeks for no reason!). I’m actually working on the same street as my first job in London 15 years ago, except that was as a paralegal and now I’m a senior legal counsel. I’ve come a long way 😊

I’m really happy I saw Young Woman and the Sea with my kids this weekend. It’s the true story of the first woman to swim the English Channel, Gertrude Ederle, played beautifully by Daisy Ridley. I found it really moving 🥲❤️ More women’s stories please.

Civil War is one of the best films I’ve seen so far this year. It feels so real and tense and it’s all (sadly) very believable, in terms of how people would behave in this context. Kirsten Dunst is excellent and I loved seeing her in this role. It’s also beautifully shot, wow.

I have exciting news. Today I got a kitten! He’s a Chocolate Burmese (I had one growing up) and so beautiful 😻 He was a surprise for my boys and we all love him already 🥰 It’s been a dream of mine to get a cat for a long time so I’m super happy ☺️ Will decide his name soon!

. What a wild ride that was! Straight from the get go you are thrust into the film and it hardly lets up. There were some particularly fantastic scenes and the cast was excellent. Margot Robbie was terrific (as usual), but I loved the very handsome Diego Calva ❤️
