@baddestmamajama My point is, I think it’s a good thing they ask the patient for their own interpretation rather than the doctor assuming they couldn’t possibly know more about their own health than the doctor. Also, gives me a chance to prove I’m not that kind of Dr 😂

@OonaghKelleher Thinking about it, it surprises me it still stops at 18 when so many kids these days live at home till 25. (I know they’re adults, but I’d never thought about the post-18 costs before. Thanks for flagging this.)

@Komaniecki_R All parents see you and salute you. All non-parents don’t even know what it is 😂

@i_iratus I think it’s something to do with Montessori advice, overwhelm for the child, and a response to overconsumption of tacky plastic? I don’t think it’s the parents trying to match their home decor. In my opinion, there are muted colours and natural materials that would still work…

@CarlBovisNature I found £30 on the floor in a small shop, handed it in to the shopkeeper. Asked the following week what had happened and was told he’d spent it on beer for himself. 🙁 I know it wasn’t mine to begin with, but I thought the done thing in these circumstances was to donate it 🤷🏻♀️

@MumblinDeafRo Saw this amazing quote from @JackieMorrisArt recently, that when she retires she might ‘take up painting and writing’ 😂👍🏻

@Helenreflects I recommend the work of Abigail Williams on C18th reading - seems like it was something of a transition period in terms of how we read and enjoy the written word.

@welshhighlandrr @Mooglet1 I have been told birth partners should pack a lunch and flask because how else are they going to stay by the bedside for 12+ hours when, not being the patient, they’re not entitled to hospital food? Very sensible. Pack one for the labouring person too, hey?

@Mooglet1 I once saw a tea station on a postnatal ward with a sign saying free for patients or 50p for visitors, I’m assuming that’s pretty standard, and that he didn’t look for it 🤷🏻♀️

@mattspx I saw the answer to this online: the UK has a 2023 law banning the use of Huawei tech in phones, masts and so on. So now nothing works as well as it could because non-suspicious tech hasn’t caught up.

@JenLRossman We used to do that (1990s UK) and then I remember injuring my hand elsewhere, and by the time I could return to PE I’d forgotten how to do it. (Or just grown a bit and couldn’t lift my own weight anymore.)

@alisonbarrow This is so generous! I’d love to read Kate Atkinson’s Normal Rules Don’t Apply, or if that’s gone elsewhere am happy with a wildcard as I’ve not read any of them! 😊

@Celestialpapaya I’ve just looked it up, and it seems the point it becomes problematic is when it replaces human interaction or interrupts work (etc). But sometimes we all prefer our own company to those things, right?
