@thatarcanepoet When I was in a boarding school and bored af, I’d finish a meh book, just not now when I have to multitask even when I’m on the toilet 🤣 My free time is pure gold rn.

@RobertMLeonard3 @Russell99695573 3⭐️ is always the most suicide-inducing for authors bc of this.🤣

@Russell99695573 When I have to force myself to put it down and set limits on how many pages I can read per day for fear of it ending too soon.

@NatalieKelda I had to get better or I get crucified and burn alive everyday here for a word use wrong. I don’t actually tweet freely anymore and been sticking with promo.

@RebeccFung Lol probably sometimes but not always? I don’t when I clean my toilet or do laundry?

@NatalieKelda I’m now wondering if I enjoy twitter more now since the great migration to blue sky. Feels to me like the chill ppl are still here, and the extreme ones have left. The extreme ones are, well, extreme.

@_Knight_writer @StephenMConway How often do you buy a product and leave a review? Why didn’t you? Same reason. People just have more important things to do and unless the book hits them so hard they need to reach out to thank the author, they won’t.

@_Knight_writer Depends. The more popular the book, the lower the percentage bc only writers, pro reviewers or hobbyist reviewers leave one. Organic readers don’t. If the % is high, means the book isn’t reaching that many organic readers.

@PaulChapman1954 At this point I’ll sell my name and firstborn to the highest bidder for money 🤣 It’s that bad.

Neither. When I buy a “product” I expect it to work. When I buy books, I’m gambling for something that may change my life. When it fails, I’m not mad bc I bet on the losing side. When it delivers, I can never pay the author enough. I’m a gambler.
Readers: When you buy a new book, do you consider yourself a 'customer', a 'consumer', or simply someone who likes to read books?
