@ofirgendelman
You know what happens if you have metal (you know, like a rifle), in the room with an MRI machine when it's turned on right? Why did you make this obvious plant?
@DavidGHFrost
@UKHouseofLords
"battered by the war". Really? Are they not the ones doing the battering? How many Israelis have been killed during the invasion of Palestine, who have not entered Gaza? How many have Israel killed? This is a horrible war, it should stop.
@Israel
@CIJ_ICJ
Hamas is not on trail here, Israeli is. If you want to bring charges against Hamas, you should feel free. And you might want a stronger defence than "Hamas made us do it" which makes you sound like a whiny teenager. Take some responsibility for your actions now and the past.
@JordynTilchen
It’s not all about you my friend. The Palestinian resistance is against Israel. Not Jews, though Israel does make an effort to conflate the two, I admit.
@rogerwaters
I fully agree and support you but why do you think Ukraine should give their territory to Russia? Don't you think this will simply embolden Russia/Putin to continue aggressions?
@VerminusM
Israelis keep tweeting how much they're tired of the war and want a ceasefire, but for some reason the idea of surrendering doesn't even cross their mind... I guess they're not tired enough?
I am very grateful to announce that The Future of Text is now supported by a generous grant from the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation through a project with Dene Grigar

As a white person who has grown up in Lindon I’d say it has much improved, partly by becoming even more multicultural and partly by narrow minded people not bothering us 😎
@SCynic1
@71tu5
Honest question: do you think that they have a useful aim? If the entire Palestinian population becomes collateral damage, will that help Israel become safer?
@David_Cameron
@FCDOGovUK
You do know that Israel has said that they will not stop attacking even if the hostages are released right? You kinda should…
@Joe_Roberts01
Have you read any part of the New Testament? There is no way Jesus would condone the killings in thousands of children in a revenge of bloodlust. Of course he would prefer peaceful resistance, not Hamas attacks, as well. You might want to leave Jesus out of this.
@NickBuckleyMBE
These people do not represent white working class people. What an inflammatory thing to say. These people are simply violent thugs. You want to encourage this behaviour, literally wrapped in the flag?...
@TPointUK
No, I have not. It might just be that the pro-Palestinian, anti-genocide marches are not only about bringing about peace, they are actually peaceful. These guys who disrespect our flag by treating them like cheap towels are not very peaceful, are they?
@HilzFuld
"We survived the gas chambers." YOU did not survive any gas chambers. Don't use the experience of past generations to support violence on current generations. How do you think an actual survivor of the Holocaust feels when they see what is being done in their name?

What do you think is a useful academic unit of knowledge?
A concept? A connection? A paragraph? A paper?
I would love to know, it will help my work to know what you think. Thank you for any responses! (I am leaning towards 'concept' myself...)

They are fighting against the starvation of 2 million people and the killing of at least 15,000 civilians. How is that hard to see?
@jtworr
Which children were massacred October 7th, do you have any verified citations? Your bio says you are a professor of religion but there can be little God in your life to ignore the continue slaughter of children in Palestine. You are truly delinquent in your duty as an educator.
So this is happening. So far nobody seems to care or even notice. I'm using Meta's 'Remote Display' which is pleasant but the rendering of the screen is better in Immersed, though that one is much more finicky to set up.

Respectfully disagree. Coming around corners, children stepping into road etc. Also, even a standing adult hit by an SUV takes damage to torso. Not legs. Horrid vehicles.
It is with a large amount of happiness, and some relief, that I can tell you that the 4th volume of ‘The Future of Text’ is done and will be released tomorrow at 4pm UK time.
Please join us online to celebrate this milestone. Sparkling beverage in hand optional.

There is a new saying: We don't need to accuse the IDF of killing 10,000 people, we can see it. But hey, scream rape as loud as you want and use old sayings. Killing thousands children is not justified. Did the children rape anyone?

I'm genuinely curios. In light of the invasion of Ukraine by Russia, how is can this be seen as a provocation rather than a strong defensive posture?
Barbara Tversky, author of 'Mind in Motion' is joining Future of Text on Friday for our monthly hosted session! Please feel free to join, comment here and I'll send you the Zoom Room :-)

@BenJamalpsc
Honest question: Why cannot a march with a stated purpose just be accepted as such? Pro-Palestine marches (of which I have been a part) are not antisemitic and the march against antisemitism-can it not simply be that?
@LuckyHeronSay
Of course. Some cornflower? Not much of an issue. Climate change? World changing issue. Not the most brilliant demonstration but it's better than staying silent I think.
Having published the Vol3 of The Future of Text at 800 pages & all that is going on on Twitter right now, I think it’s a good time to take thinking, experimenting & experiencing a new way of carrying out thoughtful conversations. Would you like to join the discussion?
