Loved the new additions to the
#houseofthedragon
intro yesterday. 🧵
1 - > Daemon's symbol gets a closeup where previously it was only briefly shown in passing, with two bloodlines bleeding out to Rhaena and Baela. (No Corlys & Rhaena shown)
The old gods, he thought. They know me. They know my name. I was Theon of House Greyjoy. I was a ward of Eddard Stark, a friend and brother to his children. "Please." He fell to his knees. "A sword, that's all I ask. Let me die as Theon, not as Reek."

It is so powerful that Theon Greyjoy died protecting his brother in front of the Old Gods. As his life blood drained out of him, it likely seeped into the weirwood...
Theon is immortalized as part of the north forever now. Theon died a Stark of the North in his home.

Sansa Stark will finish Ned and Robb's vision: free the North, resettle the New Gift with freefolk and new lords, and rule through love and protecting her people. Good Queen Sansa, long may she reign.
@llevvyn
bob dylan himself has literally said this about his style!!! why are people arguing with you you're right and you should say it.
BD's whole thing is that he's an instrumentalist and writer first, he just sings to get the words out. phenomenal af too.
One of my favorite parts of
#GoTS8
is Arya's humanization. They removed so much of what makes Arya Arya in the last few seasons. It's nice to see her trying to save smallfolk, finding her humanity, and being with her pack - even if it's been briefly lived.
kinda funny that hotd is giving us a version of the book that's been expanded on and given nuance and detail while game of thrones basically gave us a fire and blood condensed retelling of asoiaf
I have spent years thinking that a queen in the north outcome was silly, or that I was silly and small for thinking so. Tonight told me that a very small bird can cast a very large shadow. Thank you Sansa for teaching me that every life is worth living, small or big.
fire and blood discourse is so silly bc every other sentence is like "written by this dry dusty academic old man who, (you must remember wrote this many years later off of scraps of stained paper and has argued with his colleagues about what is really true for many a day)"...
Wild and slightly amazing how much the Doug Wheatley Aegon III from Fire & Blood actually looks like Matt Smith as Daemon Targaryen. Preemptively nailing it 💯
ME @ GEORGE: "Help me. Save me. I need you now as I have never needed you before. I love you. I love you. I love you. Come at once."
D&D: "Put this in the fire."
She turned her face up to the sky and closed her eyes. She could feel the snow on her lashes, tasteit on her lips. It was the taste of Winterfell. The taste of innocence. The taste of dreams.
Theon's reunion with Sansa and asking to fight for the north in front of Daenerys reinforces that for the North, it's not about a throne. It's about having their independence to live without tyrannical rulers pressing upon them, and it's about home.

Game of Thrones came to me when I was isolated, alone, depressed and unsure.
It became an escape: books and characters to cry, laugh, and celebrate with. A show to enjoy in the good, the bad, the emotional. And more than that, a community. ->
The biggest storytelling problem in
#GOTs8
: Daenerys is framed against a Mad Queen who has had seasons to develop... while /Dany/ has been framed as a "savior" to the audience for seasons.
It boils down to the rush job and lack of depth [source material] and it shows.
Hi Kit Harrington's mental health is no ones business but his own. Wish him well and drop your Twitter arguments about jonerys and jonsa and read the asoiaf series, go outside, garden, get a hobby.
spicy take: saying D&D haven't read the books is so silly.
you can read the books and still not understand the story, there are tons of people out there who have done this exact thing, I talk to some of them all the time!
Kit literally tauted to all of them that he hadn't read the scripts before the table read. The smirk has nothing to do with her character. Y'all are so dramatic, the actors are actual human beings. Not what is written and shown on tv. Get a grip...
Sansa bled in front of the iron throne countless times for northern independence, & sang through every moment. She took beatings with grace, ease, & nothing but courtesy & her name as armor. Chainmailed hands pummeled her repeatedly. Sansa Stark is resilient, & she *is* the north
Arya's experience as a child soldier brings her story is leading her arc to a perfect close in
#GOTs8
. She first leaves Westeros, shedding her identity to darkness in the House of Black and White, but after returning, she finds the light - and her humanity - in Westeros.
The year is 2021, Rhaenyra Targaryen has just died on the screen after committing several war crimes, although the other side was also evil and the throne hers by birth right.
I delete my Twitter account quietly because I remember 2019.
say what yall will about season eight but if daario had been out there he would've been complimenting dany on what a good job she did burning everything down and then they would smash for eight hours with that good dick
i never wanna see ANYONE on the timeline saying emilia clarke can't act after this season!!! EVERYONE SIT DOWN AND EAT YOUR GREEN BEANS AND SAY THANK YOU EMILIA CLARKE!!!!
#GOTS8
OK BUT wait does this mean Rhaegar knew the song from aerys and he told lyanna before leaving the tower of joy for her to tell Jon and then in turn told ne- PROMISE ME - I

everyone tweeting thor 2 was bad: have you considered the first hr of thor 2 is absolutely wonderful & tells a rich, complex story w/strong worldbuilding & familial conflict?
that said: they absolutely forgot they had a villain and movie to finish for the last 40 minutes
