RT @axboe: epoll wait support for io_uring. This may seem like an odd thing, but it's handy for mixed use cases or event loop conversions.…

@DanielleFong It is already there. 1 kWh is roughly $60. For a finished 48V product with BMC $80.

@bexcran @AlanHicksLondon Given how cheap SFP+ terminators are, this should be the standard ISP termination.

@bexcran @wendishen99 Battery cells have gotten too cheap. ~$50 per kWh or ~$5k for 400 miles of range. Easier to replace than engineering better materials for most manufacturers.

@137_futurist @KhazAkar @bretweber @geerlingguy Alta can boot any of the images since the BIOS is on the board and will run standard UEFI images which all of the images are. The board specific suffixes are UEFI but with an integrated bootloader for that specific board but is the same as the UEFI images.

@137_futurist @KhazAkar @bretweber @geerlingguy Alta is an UEFI capable platform as with every board since 2018. You can use the +arm64 image since we are the only company doing unified upstream kernel.

@geerlingguy The issue at hand is that these devices should not be sold for military applications. We have perspective customers come and request our boards for non-civilian applications and we deemed it a non-starter. The SBC vendors have no one to blame but themselves.

@sahajsarup They should have done this with the first generation of ARC onstead od trying to justify irrational expectations to shareholders. Marketshare first, optimization, and then profit.

@salva_lieb @geerlingguy Chips of this class will be a dime a dozen in 2025. Good luck with having proper software for any of these chips.

@sahajsarup Mediatek's SoCs do DVFS for RAM with their BSP. Vendors of STB do it on suspend/resume in certain configurations.
