Codina has been solid since the turn of the year and I personally Arsenal haven’t seen the best of her. Had some people expressing doubts towards her to me and I don’t understand why. Stay fit and she will thrive. I’m personally excited to see what comes of next season with her.
This week’s Arsenal Women newsletter is about Laia Codina. A mixture of injury, defensive upheaval elsewhere and the form of Lotte Wubben-Moy limited her opportunities last season. But the conditions should be there to make a greater impact next season.

Another day, another example of why Engen makes for an intelligent centreback. She thinks as a midfielder and has that awareness of attackers that could slip defenders mind when they are set on cutting out the ball.
On that Nüsken post hit, Ingrid was pointing out Nüsken’s run to Irene but she was backing Ingrid and didn’t see, leaving a lot of space on that side in the box, though she slightly recovered some ground after the pass, but we were very lucky there (Yes Lawrence was onside there)
