More drama, Coach! Giving notice that private schools are subject to different laws doesn't mean they "will not serve" disabled kids Private schools may not HAVE to serve them, but many DO BTW: why are you so wrapped around the axle on a notice provision? If you want to criticize SB2 from a disability standpoint, why are you not focusing on the fact that disabled kids only get $1,500 more per year in an ESA? 🤷‍♂️

@coachkevinrich @DrDeMatt @DisRightsTx @MomsAGAbbott @RYHTexas @TexasAFT And that is literally the law today and SB2 does not change that. It is “literally what it says” because the section is literally a requirement to give parents notice of what the law literally says. So the OP claim that SB2 “strips away rights” is bogus. Literally.

@LoewyLawFirm This question has been asked and answered numerous times by the “school choice crowd” But there’s no need to speculate Florida has are 500,000 kids with ESAs so you can see what actually happens to supply as demand grows Spoiler alert: supply expands to meet demand

@JohnArnoldFndtn Correct. UPK is great for businesses, as it socializes the cost of schooling and drives down labor costs by increasing supply The problem: it’s bad for kids Even if it’s neutral to negative (OR study) for kids, it’s bad for marriages, and divorce is *really* bad for kids…
When schools across Mexico went from an average 4.5-hour to an 8-hour school day, there wasn't just an effect on student test scores. A new study estimated that the divorce rate increased by 12.6% after the reform.

@DougDeason @GovAbbott @LtGovTX @Burrows4TX @BradBuckleyDVM History shows consolidating districts will increase administrative costs, not reduce them. We have too few districts, not too many, especially in urban areas. Scale -> centralization -> administrative bloat We should split up big districts, not create more of them

@JohnArnoldFndtn Ed reform lost its way when it became donor driven Most philanthropy is consumption, not investment Most of that investment is growth equity, not venture capital Most of that VC incorrrctly believes they drive innovation Innovation is driven by innovators not money

@coachdavis2122 @wesvirdelltx @YouTube That’s hilarious. Me donating to ActBlue? News to me 🤣 And yeah I gave a lot of money to a PAC that was dedicated to school choice. This is public record and I’m proud of it. You got me!

@coachdavis2122 @wesvirdelltx @YouTube Coach, I’m sure you’re a good guy but it’s hard to take you seriously given the tone of your posts It seems like Rep Virdell wants to listen but it’s really hard to understand someone when they’re screaming in your ear… I really do wish you the best đź¤
