It's 50C in India today. Half way between boiling and freezing. The air feels like hot tapwater. People are dying in droves, most of them uncounted. In America it is too wet to plant corn over huge areas. The warnings are becoming reality. Nobody knows how to live in this world.

I think I finally understand. Everybody is lying, all the time. Except the nerds, who are *really bad at lying*. This incapacity makes the nerds "socially awkward" and leads them to build small enclaves (like "science" or "tech") where people mostly don't lie, so machines work.

So 90% of the crap in the global economy is utterly useless: nobody needs 162 varieties of barbie dolls, or 68 brands of shitty laptops. Standardize: a few models, done well, durable, for everything. Good for climate, good for covid. Modular, resilient, lean. We can restructure.

It probably helps if I define it: here is my best short summary. 1) The human race is currently running the world like a death camp for poor humans, and particularly for the other species we farm or drive into extinction. 2) Fixing this situation is possible, but requires will.

BTC allows its adherents an escape from the boomer-ridden conventional economic landscape. What is bitcoin's core feature? IT'S TOO HARD FOR BOOMERS TO USE. So you can build an economy for the young, a parallel state to the Boomer Dollar dominated US political landscape.

I kinda miss the old days, the 1990s, when it was all about spiritual growth and investigation into the nature of reality. When youu actually get tied up in trying to change things, you wind up becoming like the problems you work on. World changers must practice detachment first.

The well positioned chattering classes, the media and academics, want to inherit the system that the young are refusing to join and actively working to undermine. They don't have real power *yet* but they know if the system stays up, in 20 years they'll run the next TED/Davos.

Right. You want a better world? A safer world? A world that works? Let me tell you *exactly* how to get one. No muss, no fuss, I'm aiming for a fifteen tweet manifesto on how we fix all of this shit, bolts to satellites, decision-making to economics, tax to stocks. Ready? 1/15

If you're going to change the world at scale, you need the best possible team around you. There can be no weak roles, and once the machine begins to move, getting people on board is nearly impossible. Our problems today are too subtle for a single Steve Jobs to crack. Need teams

So let's talk about this helmet thing again. That's the end of covid, right there. Remember, covid doesn't spread through the skin. You just need to protect the airways. Plastic dome over your head, belt pack with a system that blows purified air into the dome. Outside reopens.

25 years ago, John Perry Barlow (I met him once!) wrote the Declaration of Independence of Cyberspace Does any of this sound familiar to you? Now let's discuss the New Social Contract's critics. Who's getting so het up here? Why all the hatred for Web3 these days?

What we are looking at today is Israel’s 9/11. I’m watching intelligent, rational friends being stampeded into giving Israel a blank cheque for civilian reprisals against Gaza based on the actions of Hamas. As with 9/11 nobody cares about the history of Gaza and how we got here

It's going to take an army to protect Musk and similar pioneers from the people that would tear them - and the future of humanity - to pieces in their shame, envy and anger. Do not let this take root. Make it known: these people are precious to us, and to protected at all costs.

Elon Musk was 100% the kid who wouldn't hand over the game controller because he insisted on showing you "something cool" but never delivered.

I've always operated by finding enclaves of honest people, and avoiding the Sea of Liars very carefully. But, *of course*, humans evolved to lie _because it works short term_ and most lives in antiquity were short. Nobody expects to live long enough for the cheques to bounce.

I just want to say to every new age yoga asshole who gave me a hard time about choosing to focus on the darkness, where the problems build, rather than joining the joy-filled escapism in the “lite” - “fuck you, the problems have to be dealt with, not dreamt away.” Shit is real.

This is a simple problem of access to capital: land, patents, intellectual property, distribution networks for physical products (target, wal mart). The young don't have enough cash to BUY INTO THE SYSTEM. They're so poor they can't even get exploited. Now do you see BTC's fix?

I am proud that this has gone viral. I did not work on cryptography to empower racists, but normal, good people.

And the poor problem-solving class are out here telling people about global warming and covid, and wondering why the habitual liars of the world can't look at the facts and start making difficult decisions. Answer: their entire lives are built on avoiding fundamental truths.
