Aw, we said goodbye to our dear old Granny Cow early this morning. She was 21yrs old. She originated as a calf out of a pkg of bred hfrs we bought from Don Dubeau so many years ago. She never missed a beat & raised her last calf in 2018. She looked after the hfrs last summer.

Moving the pairs into some native pasture for a week or two to let our tame pastures recoup from the hail storm back on Monday night. They took a beating but at least they'll recover with the rain that came with. The miles of crop in it's path ... not so much.

Considering how much snow was just in this ditch, it's rather sad that it's this dry and dusty. Thankfully the wind is aiding the dust in drying out. 🙄🤦♀️ Maybe it will rain now that the cows headed to their calving barn.

9yrs of feeding his May babies for 4H & he has it dialed in. He rolls his own feed & feeds his own projects. He loves the challenge of feeding 5 wt May born calves & he's proud of his cattle & knows what their capable of. He finished these boys very nicely! Ya did good kid!
