Welp it’s finally that time. I’m so grateful for the 2 years I had at Bungie and will miss everyone so dearly. That being said I’m looking for work, please hire me to break your game and run your playtests!
After nearly 2 years My contract with Bungie is coming to an end on April 12th I’m currently looking for remote (or hybrid in Northern MA/Southern NH) junior/associate level QA opportunities. I’ve got 2 years of QA experience and a Bachelor’s in Game Programming. RTs appreciated!
Before this website dies:
My contract with Bungie ends at the end of October and I’m looking for my next position. I’ve got 1.5 years of QA exp. and a B.S. in Game Programming. I’m currently looking for QA positions eligible for remote work or hybrid in MA or NH.
As far as I know I’m safe from the layoffs but there are so many talented individuals who were let go today. I’ll be RTing their posts as I see them. Please help them land on their feet. Any company would be incredibly lucky to have any of the people affected.
If you had told me even just a year ago that I would have my name in the credits of a game, let alone a AAA game I would’ve never believed you. It still doesn’t feel real that I get to do this job every day
My heart breaks for all my former colleagues at Bungie, to go through something like this twice in the span of a year is heartbreaking. I don’t know who has been affected but everyone I worked with at Bungie is incredibly talented and would be great additions to any team.
This morning, we shared an important update with the Bungie team on the difficult decision to eliminate 220 roles at Bungie.
You can read the full statement below.

It was definitely very much still a niche nerdy thing when I started high school (2014) and over time got slightly more accepted, and by the time I got to college (2018) I saw celebrities saying they watched anime, definitely in a much better spot than it used to be
@swifferstruggle
no fr I think about this all the time does she play video game which ones does she play and who does she play in Mario kart (my hypothesis is cat peach in mk8 dx, but on Wii was Rosalina or peach)
It was an honor to be able to work on the Final Shape and Prismatic, and I can’t wait for everyone to finally be able to play it next week! See you starside 🫡
Not at GDC either this year. I’m Laura! Coming to you live from my desk/art wall, I’m currently finishing up my contract at Bungie as a QA Tester on the Destiny 2 Gameplay Team.

I really hope the Supreme Court says Biden’s student loan forgiveness is ok, it would literally be life-changing for me and my debt would be cut by more than half.

hype train. Liana and I only worked together once briefly on a photosensitivity issue and my team and I learned so much about what can cause photosensitivity issues and are actively working harder to find them earlier. (1/2)
Even though I’m no longer at Bungie today hurts. I found out some of my closest coworkers were let go. The team I started with Bungie at is entirely gone, whether it be due to contracts ending or layoffs, and now the last person from my original team was laid off today
Welp it’s finally that time. I’m so grateful for the 2 years I had at Bungie and will miss everyone so dearly. That being said I’m looking for work, please hire me to break your game and run your playtests!
Well... my heart is breaking for all affected
I am now looking for opportunities. I have 21 years of games industry experience in media, production, and community management. I'm processing,I'm so heartbroken. I don't know what to do from here... this was my home. I feel so lost
I apologize to all my former co-workers for making us look bad with this build, there are some really talented build crafters at Bungie, I was not one of them!
played through excision this morning 🥹 the final shape launch has been bittersweet since it was the last release I worked on while at Bungie but to see it so highly regarded has really made my childhood dreams come true 🥹
@boundbyanoath
I do know a lot about the game, I was very hyper-focused on gameplay abilities and had tools to get desired stat builds internally, but armor/armor mods weren’t really my area, and since I didn’t play much outside of work (to avoid burnout) I didn’t deal with these systems much
I don’t usually tweet sappy shit on here but I just really love my friends, I’m so thankful to SNHU and Overwatch for bringing us together. The best friends I could ever ask for
I graduated in 2022, and my former roommates can tell you in Fall 2021 I drove myself to insanity over shaders and animations not playing over the network. After that I got so burnt out that I stopped applying for engineering positions because thinking about (1/2)
I started last year in a panic because my last semester of classes got all fucked up, and I’m starting this coming year with an incredible job, and moving out. So excited to see what 2023 will bring 🎉
My account was a victim of the bug where people got suspended for “suspension evasion” despite never being suspended. I’m back now but it was incredibly frustrating knowing that it affected multiple people and twitter never put out a statement.
It’s the last night of my collegiate career and while I’m glad to be done with school, I’m really going to miss this environment. Being able to live with and see my friends every day has made my mental health the best it’s ever been.
Went to finally go try out dress to impress only to find out someone hacked my over 10 year old Roblox account like 2 weeks ago and enabled 2FA 😭 I submitted a ticket so 🤞🏼I can get it back

At my first job when I was like 16 I had a customer complain to my manager because I was drinking water at the register. I had it under the counter and it was completely out of sight unless I was drinking it. We weren’t supposed to have water at the register and my manager
@lesbiaudrey
Just from what I remember a lot of Harry Potter kids eventually became Percy Jackson kids, I don’t know if I’d say that Percy Jackson’s success mainly came from Harry Potter, but I think it definitely helped
I didn't really play Destiny prior to working at Bungie, but when I was graduating high school (2018) I went to the local Toys R Us which was going out of business to see if I could get any cheap games. I got Destiny 2 base game for like $5. (1/2)
The Final Shape has nearly arrived - so, let's take a moment to reflect. How did your journey as a Guardian begin?

Last ever Overwatch 1 Highlight💜
Though I don't play as much (or as competitively) as I used to, this game has a really special place in my heart, and though I am excited for OW2, I'm really gonna miss 6v6
@allafarce
The grocery store I used to work at was open until midnight, my first job was open until 10, many diners in NJ (not as many post-covid) are open 24/7, it’s wild to me how early places close on the west coast
This was far from my first project, but Race To The Stage was the first game I worked on to get shown to the public (it was playable at a concert venue) and then I started working on Destiny 2 about 2 weeks after we “shipped” Race To the Stage (both in 2022!)
My best friend moved away after my freshman year of high school and I got pretty depressed. I started watching Pokémon streamers on twitch and found community which got me through it. I realized I wanted to make something that could help others the way that Pokémon helped me
They were so patient with us and gave feedback and answered any questions we had throughout the process of iteration, and was overall just a joy to work with. (2/2)
Is anyone else getting a bunch of bots adding them to a list called “social experiment”? I’ve been added to 3 in the past few hours. I keep blocking them but I just keep getting added by a new bot.
My parents are already thinking about another cat (which after 15 years with a cat in the house I think it’s entirely valid to want another cat) and they found one they’re interested in. We’ve decided that if we get this cat his name will be Astro, and as we were driving home
@JennyENicholson
They made a game dev Barbie a few years back, I didn’t like dolls growing up but I wish I had just seen this as a kid just to see myself represented
My YouTube history while playing the original FFVIIR is why we need yellow paint. If there is a way to get lost or not understand a puzzle in a video game I will find it
Everyone needs to calm down about yellow paint in games. If you can think of a better color to paint ledges so gamers don't run in a circle for 20 minutes and then angrily return the game I'd like to hear it.
from the vet to hand over Checker’s remains, Rocketman came on the radio (Rocket was a name considered for the new cat) and while the song was playing we got a text saying we can see this cat today (instead of Friday), which I like to think is a sign from Checkers 💙
Then after graduating college, I started working on Destiny 2. I think it's a really neat full circle moment, and kind of crazy that a game I bought when graduated high school foreshadowed what I would do after college
I’m sorry Taylor Swift I didn’t spend 4 years in high school purposely avoiding learning how football works despite going to every game for marching band to learn how it works now
Struggled through a game programming degree, realized in the last semester I didn’t want to do programming as a career, realized I loved finding and reproing bugs in cyberpunk. Applied to QA jobs and actually got interviews (the market was so much better in 2022)
My grandpa was a dog guy, had collies all his life, but he loved Checkers. We used to joke that Checkers was the only cat my grandpa ever liked. I like to think he’s up there playing with Checkers right now.
@teachbk
made me put it in the back. Because I was usually the only one on register I couldn’t access it without calling someone to cover for me for like 2 minutes
