Long-time Lakers fans are blessed, getting to witness the likes of LeBron James, Kobe Bryant, Shaq, Magic Johnson, Kareem, Wilt, West, Baylor and the other greats as far back as they were alive. What an amazing franchise. Be grateful for our Lakers today.

My spouse and I were in a really bad accident today. Had to be pried out of the car. Hit by multiple cars and a semi on the freeway. Ambulance to the hospital. Lucky to be alive. I have a grade 3 separated shoulder and spouse has broken ribs. Could have been much worse. Grateful.

Chris, in all fairness, neither Kobe nor MJ demanded that their teams trade for a player who was a terrible fit, declining, and ate the entire remaining payroll such that the team couldn't sign anyone good for two years. The Westbrook deal to the Lakers is different.

1. Punitive damages relate to person's worth. Trump testified in his depo that he has $400,000,000 cash and $10 billion in assets. $83 mil is chump change.
2. Punitive damages are awarded to deter conduct. $83 million hasn't deterred him.

Because they could pass it through reconciliation. But a repeal cannot be passed that way. Reconciliation can only be used for legislation that brings spending and revenue in line with a budget resolution. And have you seen the budget fiasco we've had?
